Worked perfect
Used to plug new sink drain lines during an extended full bath remodel to stop sewer smell. These worked perfect. Some people say you can’t get them back out without loosing parts, that is incorrect. Do not over tighten it and you won’t have that problem. I had three on different drains without an issue.

Works, and Easy Install
Nice Design and Easy to Install/Remove. Ordered this some months ago in case I ever needed it... and today was THE day... Was happy to find how easily it installed using No Tools; and that the size of the plug is Variable depending upon how tight you set the adjustment knob.

Difficult to separate sleeves after use
This plug did a great job of sealing a 1 1/2" shower drain for a water test with just a few twists of the knob. Only problem is that it's extremely difficult to separate the two rubber sleeves after it's used in order to get it ready for the next drain test.

So it seals really well. Almost to well.
So it seals really well. Almost to well. I do alot of custom tile showers and pans as a tile contractor and After doing a 24 hour flood test in the shower pan this plug was so tight it was almost permanently stuck in the drain pipe. Took 30 minutes or more and 10 tools to pry this out of the drain hole. It should not be that hard to remove this drain plug. Was terrified of breaking the plug and having it get stuck inside the pipe. Yes it was that tight. So my suggestion would be try not to over tighten it or just pick a different plug all together. I am now scared to use this again and have since purchased another plug. The inflatable ones are better.

I admit I was skeptical, but it works!
The drain in our basement is poorly engineered, so if there's a lot of standing water in the yard, it tends to back up into the drain and sometimes even comes into the basement. It happened again just a few weeks ago, and my father-in-law suggested I buy a plug for it. I went to a local store and they had two sizes of plugs: 2 inches and 1.5 inches. The 2-inch plug was too big, and the 1.5-inch plug was too small! My wife saw one of these adjustable plugs online, but I was skeptical whether it would work. Besides, the only place it was available was nearly an hour away, and I didn't feel like driving that far in a heavy rain, especially if I didn't think the product would work. After the crisis was over, I decided to see if one of these adjustable plugs was available on Amazon. I was still skeptical, but since it was returnable, I decided to give it a try. It works like the proverbial charm! We've had a couple of heavy rains since then, so I put the plug in the drain. The plug was wet when I took it out, so I knew the water had backed up again, but the plug didn't let even a drop into our basement. UPDATE - I used it again this past weekend during a big rainstorm, and this time we did get a bit of seepage into our basement. I prefer "seeping" to "gushing", though, so that's okay! In fairness, I think I may not have had the plug assembled correctly. Make sure the plastic cylinder at the bottom is actually inside the rubber tube before you tighten it. I don't think mine was, and if that was the case, it didn't make a perfect seal.

Poor quality and or design
Terrible design. Rubber too stiff and didn’t tighten up on a 2 inch pipe enough to stop water going through. Poor leak teat plug

Stopped up a hole? Check.
It has one job. It does it. That’s more than you can say for so many products and ….people out there for that matter. Well built. Good price. I recommend it.

JUNK
Gets stuck, doesn't seal, falls in. Poor design.

The components are not attached properly and will block your drain permanently
This plug has created bigger problems. I loosened the mechanism to be sure it could fit, as soon as I inserted it into the open drain pipe, the threaded post and smaller rubber gasket detached and dropped down the drain. Now my drain is blocked with a chunk of rubber and I need to hire and pay for a plumber to clear the drain.
