First fridge/freezer thermometer, Very well designed.
My old Hotpoint Iced Diamond fridge failed (thermostat) a replacement for which I sourced on Amazon but I thought a should really setthe fridge up properly after years of "that feels cold enough".Looked at a few thermometers and went for one with no reviews but looked the best for features and display and not disappointed. You can either surface mount the unit with the included bracket (clear plastic with red adhesive sections in the picture) which allowsit to be fixed on a surface or you could stick it inside a transparent drawer and read from the outside as the unit clips into the bracketeither way round. If you want it to stand on a shelf and not use the bracket the unit has a little leg that flips out to allow it to standon it's own.The display shows actual temperature along with historic high and low temperatures so you can see what range the fridge/freezer is controllingto. You get a extra section of the display to show if the unit is within the recommended range for fridge temperature and also the star ratingyour freezer reaches if you want to use it in the freezer.Easy to use, good instructions, clear display with hi/lo visible all the time, works in fridge and freezer with multiple mounting options.Very well designed.

An Invaluable Instrument
This is the same make as the excellent room thermometer/hygrometer instrument that I bought several months ago, and it seems equally fine in use.Based on back-to-back checks I carried out with two of the fore-mentioned instruments, I trust the readings of this fridge/freezer thermometer and have turned down the operating temperature of both the fridge and freezer compartments of my appliance by two degrees apiece. It appears that the temperatures displayed on the appliance are slightly pessimistic, probably to cover variations in long-term accuracy. I wouldn't rely on the accuracy of any of the cheaper thermometers for this purpose. Our earlier fridge/freezer didn't display temperatures, just a 'Too Warm' display in the fridge compartment from time to time. We have now realised that the freezer compartment in that 19-year-old appliance was running far above the recommended maximum temperature for frozen foods. Thankfully we never kept food in it long-term as, unlike our new one, there wasn't much room in it for other than our day-to-day requirements. This is an example of where a thermometer could prove invaluable!Someone mentioned earlier that a display of numbers on the removable screen-protecting film led them to think that their thermometer always showed the same temperature and was therefore faulty. Mine came with a plain film so it seems the maker has taken heed of that little problem and acted on it. In fairness to the maker, the instructions state quite clearly to remove the film before use.

Don't waste your time
Ordered 2 of these, only one works out of the box. So far I also think that the temperature reading of the one that 'works' isn't particularly accurate either. It's currently reading 10.8C and hasn't gone below 9.6C. I think I'd be struggling with food poisoning and spoilt food if the temperature was that high. The ambient temperature of my outhouse is only 15C and it feels much colder in the fridge.Minimum and Maximum temperatures aren't really much good because you need to handle it to reset it which increases the temperature!Surround has the sticky pads on what I would class as the front (and that is how it appears out of the box) so can't see any use for it unless you have a glass fronted beer fridge or something.I'm having to buy a jiffy bag to ship the item back in because the packaging it not re-usable and despite having Prime delivery won't get a replacement for 6 days.I bought this because of the reviews and the fact that it was Prime delivery. Unfortunately on this occasion, both have let me down.

Accurate but not perfect.
Does the job o.k. but seems to me to be a bit expensive for what it is. I stuck mine to the wall of the fridge using the blue frame, which has good strong sticky pads on, and found it very difficult to remove from said frame when I wanted to reset or change the battery, I had to use a knife to prise it out. But it does seem to be accurate which is what it needs to be. You have to read it straight on and not at an angle otherwise you cannot tell what the reading is, so don't place it too low or you will be on your hands and knees trying to see what it says.

Perfect Freezer Thermometer
This is perfect, particularly for freezers with clear drawers or doors. It sticks easily to the inside of the plastic drawer and can be easily read through the plastic. Much better than using a cabled sensor with an exterior display, you get no problems with frost build up where a cable distorts the door seal.I have tested it against other thermometers and am extremely happy with the accuracy. It's easy to set up °C or °F and also reset max and min readings. An excellent choice for any freezer.

Seems to be very accurate
I always keep two thermometers in the fridge, these had become very inaccurate, showing 6 degrees difference when side by side. I bought two of these and they agree exactly. They also agree with a spirit thermometer, so I have absolute faith in their accuracy. I like the maximum/minimum facility. Highly recommended.

Does what it should!
Excellent little product. Flexible in where it can be placed, seems to be accurate, has a high/low record and means I can set my fridge to the correct temperature setting. I had a cheap (analogue) thermometer before this one that was absolutely rubbish! I like this product, although I think the missus would disagree as I have now become the fridge temperature police!

Great thermometer at a great price!
I use this thermometer to monitor the temperature in a small fridge which I use to store expressed milk. I find it is accurate, and the feature showing maximum and minimum temperature is very useful.
