Great, sturdy and easy to use, defo worth a few more quid on this kind of appliance as the cheaper ones just break. One thing is though, the metal wire frame surrounding the beaters was a little bent and made the wisk so stiff I couldn’t turn it as it interfered with the beaters, just by stretching this wire frame out it immediately made the wisk work- if it was packaged differently eg in a box not a plastic bag this may not have bent out of shape in the first place.

Having bought cheap ones from Tesco several times and ended up chucking them because they fall apart I decided on this bad boy.It's pretty heavy and seems well constructed, I used it last night to churn up some double cream and it whipped that stuff right up in about 45 seconds! Pretty good performance.After whizzing up some cream don't take the blades out and spin them like I did as it flung cream all around my kitchen. And certainly don't leave it on the wall thinking your wife will clear it up, because she won't.What will most likely happen is that she'll tell you off, and demand you go and wipe that stuff off.I was trying to enjoy my apple pie and cream but the experience was tainted by having to clear up my mess mid-way through munching my delicious dessert. Don't ever ask a man to put down his bowl of dessert and start cleaning. Good Lord!Make no mistake, this whisk can fling cream at least six feet as I found some on the washing machine.Now the mother in law also knows, because after berating me the wife called her up to ensure my humiliation was complete by sharing my stupidity around the entire family.

Sadly I am returning this item as it just does not function at all. It does not warrant a star as it is completely useless but in order to write the review I had to allocate a star!!

I wanted a manual handheld whisk for a while - this is pretty robust. No need to worry about electricity. The rotating mechanism is a little stiff - this may by due to it being new. I wanted a metal rotating barrel to ensure longevity so I'm hoping this stainless steel one will last. So far I've used it for making lassi (an Indian yogurt drink which I wanted to try - probiotics and all that) and mixing a cake mix to a smooth consistency. Works well. Being stainless steal I also it will be rust-free for years to come.

I brought mine second-hand so slight problem with it but after retiming the mixing blades and regluing the drive gears it works like brand new so it turned out to be the better deal for me and I would fully recommend everyone getting this model of hand whisker.

Unfortunately although it looked very sturdy it was not user friendly and was so stiff to turn!Maybe the cogs were misaligned? Had to return it!

This whisk looked good in the pictures. I chose it because I don't want to use battery/electrical devices when hand tools are perfectly good enough. However the metal it's made of is poor. We sent the first one back because the spindles were bent and the whisk didn't turn. The second one was barely any better. I spent too much time having to align all the metal parts to bet it to spin smoothly enough to whisk ingredients. The whisk was well packed so either they're badly made or badly handled prior to packing.
