Snowbee Fly-Mate Fly-tying Clamp Vice Ball - Silver/Black/Silver, One Size

After coming from a fixed vice I have got used to this new snowbee device and really love it now. compared to some devices that are very expensive I thought would give this a go as it was reasonably price. I went for the one with the ball joint which not only allows you to turn the hook 360 degrees but also spin the device round and move it up and down really good build quality.

Good value for money. One thing is the bar that tightens up the clamp has two plastic ends on it that come off very easily. Super glue sorts it out, just be warned, however it dose the job well.

This was a gift (my friend bought from the link I sent him to this page). It works well, but where the black bit with the ball connects to the rod holding it up it comes loose and the only way to stop it spinning is to pull it up and almost jam it, but it doesn't come off. The alan key slot has broken and so I cannot remove it or dismantle it, but getting past that the grip is good, the ball joint works well and the rotary feature is handy when adjusted to the proper tension.Instructions were poor and so made set up a bit tricky but have got it to a working stage. Shame about the stand not connecting properly to the ball holder, that's the reason for the three stars. If I were to get it again I'd go for the non-ball, as I feel it would be less breakable with fewer moving parts.
