Speed camera
Used for caravan navigation and avoiding the dreaded speed cameras. Seems to work well.

So far this unit has proved to be terrific. To begin with it is straightforward to use
We used to have a Tom Tom but it got us in to trouble on a few occasions so we thought we'd try a sat nav dedicated for motorhomes. So far this unit has proved to be terrific. To begin with it is straightforward to use. You simply enter the dimensions and weight of your vehicle, which are then saved for future journeys. When you calculate a route it produces one that avoids roads that aren't suitable. We tested a few local ones we knew well before using it and it smartly routed avoiding all of them. We have since used it across the UK, France and Spain and it has performed admirably wherever we have travelled. It also has a very handy 'dash cam' built in to it. This records in the background when you are driving so that you can use the navigation at the same time. This really gives us a sense of security and peace of mind, especially when we're driving abroad. We've been lucky so far and have never been involved in any incidents, but it is nice to know that it's all being recorded just in case! Overall, it's a very clever little device that has never let us down.

Great in parts and poor in others
If I could have given 3.5 stars I would have. Bought especially new to towing a caravan set up is easy but not totally intuitive. Quality of product great and instruction while navigating is good. Special POI is good as CAMC and CACC sites preloaded but always check route don’t rely on instruction as we found a Chatsworth CC site. A good back up that I have tried to trick and failed however I would strongly recommend mapping and google mapping routes. Other negatives are battery life very poor so need power cable at ready. Also route alterations not easy it likes to take the way it sets out which is not always the easiest with caravan. Other negative only connects with android not iPhones ??? Big selling point is built in dash cam which made me purchase over Tom Tom or garmins but I think their nav and ease of use would be better having used their products in the past.

Great buy
Really happy with this item, both price and functionality. Used with our motorhome and it took us to unfamiliar destinations without fail. Set it up for the vehicle, being slightly overgenerous with dimensions &weight (as suggested by reviewers of various units) and found no problems with routes indicated. Admittedly, if you know an area there are quicker routes - but then you wouldn’t be needing a satnav! It’s also quick to respond if you have to change route due to an unexpected road closure.

THE BEST OF THE BUNCH BY QUITE A WAY
I returned the 7 inch version not happy with it, received this 5 inch version which has an ample size screen, it looks and feels quality compared to the 7 inch version, after my return of the aguri rv720 dvr I trawled the Internet, read reviews of Garmin and tomtom even snooper, but I can honestly say there is nothing to touch this Aguri sat nav, clear instructions good clear screen, and I have the choice of listening to instructions either through the speaker through the sat nav or through my car radio via earphone jack plug, all in all a very good sat nav which gets you from a to b with no fuss, and so easy to set up and plan a route, plus updates via wifi so much better than hours I use to spend updating my Tomtom 6100 I sold on, so well done Aguri for a fine sat nav.

Fab product
Unfortunately the first item received was faulty but I could not fault the customer service . After contacting them they suggested that they send us a replacement to the place where we were staying, we received the replacement item the following day which was fantastic, After using the replacement we found it worked extremely well, nice clear instructions . Would highly recommend this item and the company.

Avoid this unit
Having used other sat-navs, I purchased this because of the car-and-caravan option. Inputting the caravan dimensions was fairly straightforward and I had high hopes that the unit would be ideal for avoiding inappropriate roads. However in use the unit turned out to be useless. Many towns, which have existed since the Moors invaded in the 700’s were not found on the database and we had to resort to stopping to look at a map and work out the route from that, or switch on the old sat nav. Motorways that had been built for over 5 years were not recognized and the unit indicated us as driving across fields. We were taken along inappropriate roads, as other reviewers have found. POI’s were difficult to access or not found. Menus were unnecessarily complex. The unit was the slowest I have experienced for starting up and would not find a location until the car was moving and several minutes down the road. If one is unfamiliar with the location, especially in the centre of a town, it means guessing the direction, setting off and, if in the wrong direction, having to find somewhere to turn around. The Customer ‘Service’ line was anything but. The person I talked to was defensive and arrogant, did not accept any of the issues raised, blaming GPS or technical issues, as if they were therefore nothing to do with him, and he certainly did not apologise for the problems we were having. When asked what he would do about the problems simply replied “nothing”. I have never experienced such uninterested indifference.Regarding the unit itself, the interface is clunky and non-intuitive, and seems to have ignored contemporary design and function, as if Tom Tom’s and Garmin’s had not existed. The keyboard is very difficult to use the sensitivity seeming to vary, making to almost impossible to input whilst it is on the dashboard or attached to the windscreen. The method of attaching the unit to the mounting stalk is not easy and always takes much fiddling, with both hands.Having not had any support from the Aguri help line, I contacted Amazon, the agent from whom was the polar opposite, being helpful, courteous, and arranging for a an immediate refund, facilitating this with information in emails sent whilst still on the phone. An excellent service from the Amazon agent. My advice would be to avoid this unit. You will certainly not receive any support from Aguri when it fails to operate as advertised, as it surely will.
