I shopped around and read countless reviews on mattresses, both standard and ones that come in a box and it was truly overwhelming. Somehow I came across this hybrid from Avenco and went with it. I've had it for three months and it's been great. The sides are soft, so when you sit along the edge, it is quite squishy - but I knew this before I purchased. So far, the mattress has been comfy, not overly hot, the shape has held up, you don't feel your partner's movements in the night, and there has been no strange smell; I've been really pleased.I would recommend giving this one a try if you are looking to not spend a ton of money and are overwhelmed by the number of options. I will say, neither of us had back issues going in to this purchase, so I can't comment on if it's beneficial for those that do have back problems.

This is a very nice mattress. The mattress was delivered in a box and was vacuum sealed very nicely. I cut open plastic and was pleasantly surprised. Within 30 seconds it filled out and no weird chemical smell upon unboxing. The mattress is really soft and comfortable. After sleeping on it for a week, this mattress is a dream. My husband and I fall asleep right away and we do not feel each other move. The mattress is definitely plush, which is what we wanted and hugs nicely without overly sinking. I would definitely recommend this mattress to anyone who experiences lower back pain and is in search of a good firm mattress at reasonable price.

I got the Avenco Twin Size Mattress Hybrid for my almost-6-years-old son. He wanted a "big boy" bed. I've used Avenco products in the past and they've been very good. So, it was a quick decision to try them for my son's new bed.The Avenco Twin Size Mattress Hybrid is a roll out style mattress that takes quite a while to get to full size. Unlike fully memory foam mattresses, hybrids have spring that decompress pretty quickly. The memory foam still takes a bit to expand though. They claim 72 hours, but ours was full size after a day.The Avenco Twin Size Mattress Hybrid has great support and a medium firmness. Since it isn't fully memory foam, you don't sink into the mattress like fully memory foam and stay cooler. As someone with a bad back, I liked the extra support while getting extra comfort from the foam.After setting everything up and letting it expand, we decided to hang out and watch a movie. My 210 pounds and his 40 pounds were nothing for the twin sized mattress to handle. It had a decent amount of motion absorption, yet a lot more his and not as much mine.All-in-all, this is a great mattress for your kids. I'll consider it in king size, once I'm in need of a new mattress in the future. It really is a good mattress and one I trust for my youngest child and only son.

This is not my first mattress in a box. The first one I bought was for my daughter and it smelled odd for days. This mattress had no odd smell out of the box.The mattress poofed to a sleepable level while we watched a movie. By the next night it had fully taken on its true form.I’m kind of completely in love.The mattress is supportive but not overly stiff. There’s a tenderness to the top layer that I dig.I get hip and neck pain. From the second night, I woke with less pain. After a few nights I found myself waking in the same position I fell asleep in. I didn’t know I could sleep without rolling around.I’m not sure about the cooling layer. I’m coming from a pillow top innerspring mattress. The mattress is comfortable from a temperature standpoint, but I do not feel cooled.I’m already bragging about this mattress to my mom who has hip and back pain. If I would recommend it her, I’d recommend it to anyone.

This was the most comfortable mattress I’ve slept on in a while and I mean it! It definitely exceeded my expectations of a perfect mattress on my opinion lol Firstly, it did take a minute to inflate to full capacity and I almost couldn’t wait. Not only is it comfortable but it forms to the body giving you an even more comfortable night. No more back pain! I love it!
