Excellent product, cheap price, buy it!
I have a fairly large cavity in a molar resulting from a failed filling. It is a particularly difficult problem since the tooth is lying sideways and, thanks to poor work by previous dentists, there is very little tooth left to fill or to anchor a filling to. Dentists fillings last about 4/5 months and getting less and each time I visit they remove a little more tooth (not because the tooth is bad but "to get a good surface to anchor to"). On my last visit I was told that the tooth was now "beyond hope" and the dentist recommended extraction followed by a false tooth implant into the jaw. This work would be very expensive (at least to me) and I simply can not afford the extortionate fee, especially considering the poor standards and abysmal level of performance and workmanship of most of these dentists! So I decided I could not do worse if I tried to fill my own tooth. I tried a number of diy "temporary" filling products without much luck, some were messy, required mixing, difficult to apply and none lasted more than a few days (some only a few hours). Then I tried Dentemp "Refilit" and what a difference! At last one that actually works! I now use it all the time as a permanent (temporary) fix. Once you get the hang of using it it gets better and better, my first attempt lasted about two weeks which was already a vast improvement but now I find each filling will last about 6 weeks (current filling has now been in place nearly 2 months!). This is much cheaper and more convenient (and probably safer) than visiting a dentist. I have read some of the bad reviews but all I can say from my own experience that this product works very well indeed for me. It clearly makes some difference where the filling is and how accessible it is to do in your own mouth (or get a partner or close friend to help) also practice make perfect! Just be sure that the mouth is thoroughly clean and pay particular attention to cleaning the cavity. I thoroughly brush the teeth with toothpaste, rinse thoroughly a couple of times, use a good mouthwash and check the cavity closely and clean with a cotton bud soaked in antiseptic mouthwash ( I also spray the area with colloidal silver) to ensure there will be no bacteria trapped between the tooth and the filler. Then roll a small amount of filler (size of a petite-poi between your fingers) and press firmly into the cavity, bite gently on the filling to ensure a comfortable fit and bite with the other teeth then carefully remove and/or shape any excess filler using the plastic tool or your fingers, lastly rinse the mouth with clean water to expel any unused filler. Important note - the filler reacts with saliva to set and harden so DO NOT dry the cavity, being wet with saliva is a good thing! The instructions say not to bite on the filled tooth for at least one hour but I always do my filling last thing at night before I go to bed so that it has all night to fully harden. Dentemp Refilit has never let me down (unlike dentists!) if done properly fillings last 6/8 weeks one small tub lasts months and I regularly chew nuts and hard toffees etc on my Dentemp filling with no problem. Excellent product, cheap price, buy it!

Emergency filling .
For the price you sure don't get a lot of paste , the plastic container is small and even that is not even half full of the paste , if you were repairing a hole in your teeth it is good for the job , you can forget filling in the side of a tooth the paste would just not stand up to the pressure . the paste is ok if it is supported by the tooth and that usually means the teeth more to the back of the mouth . But for an emergency on holiday its ok ...Just like to add roll a small amount into a ball and push it in the (hole) , you do not need to hurry , then use the plastic implement to smooth it out . then start sucking air to help it harden .

Get Your Teeth Into Refilit and Pop Your Cherry! :)
I purchased this after a third of one of my molars broke off and started causing toothache. As usual, getting an appointment to see the dentist as a non-emergency was weeks away, so I wondered if there was something that could be used as a stop-gap and I found this.Just to make you aware that the tub you get is TINY (about the size of the top section of your index finger), however, if you are just filling small fillings, there is plenty to do it. As my problem was quite a bit bigger, I wasn't expecting much but, this has filled in my section of missing tooth and has provided massive relieve from toothache and I'm also able to eat properly again. The cherry flavour is a bonus as, you will taste this filler when you use it. I found it quite pleasant so I had no issue with the flavour, plus it disappears once the filler had dried completely. So overall, I have found this product to be excellent....it is still going strong two weeks after I fitted it. Therefore, if you need a stop-gap until your appointment or simply just cant afford to go to the dentist at the moment, this is an excellent product and fantastic value for money.

Not Like Before...Useless.
Not sure why but when I first tried this Maximum Strength Material it lasted a lot longer even when I ate food. Even when I drink water it loosens and crumbles in my mouth like chalk!! I brush my teeth before bed and place just a small amount on the affected tooth. By the morning it feels set but it isn't. The only plus side is that the flavour is pleasant. Maybe i'm doing something wrong but this didn't even last a day in my mouth. Quite disappointing.

Rubbish!
I had a few holes in my teeth, rather than replacing a lost filling, but was going on holiday. Rather than try to make, and pay over the odds for, an emergency appointment, I thought a temporary home filling would do until we got back. The reviews on this were mixed but were overall good so I thought i'd give it a go. It arrived precisely on time and, as many people said, it was easy to use. Unfortunately I could not get it to stay in place. It said leave for an hour to set, I left it for about four before eating. As soon as I did eat, the thing was pulled out, and I had only eaten something soft! I kept trying until I used the entire pot, but to no avail. I would not recommend this particular product, but I did only have shallow holes in my teeth. I am glad it wasn't expensive and would recommend GOING TO THE DENTIST! above using this.

Excellent, take it from me! Someone with really bad teeth!
I've had lots of issues with my teeth of late, last dentist was a butcher, have since moved on and have not bothered reporting the denist to the GDC. I've found a new one now and have started to repair the damage done. As such on occasion I've had lots of pain in between treatments as so much work needs doing. There is another brand, in fact two others and one very similar, I've tried them all...this one is by far the best. Easy to apply and hardens within seconds, not to mention tastes ok too. With this brand (Refilit) I put a small piece in my thumb and index finger, apply and this stuff actually sticks first time. The other brands just don't stick to your teeth so easily, so you have to sit there for ages using more and it's a case if hit and miss.Takes seconds to apply, seals in seconds too, brilliant for pain relief...6/5 for me, thank you Refilit, you guys are genius!
