Orthodontic Dental Retainer - Custom Made (Lower Teeth)

Bought the kit as my original lower retainers had broken clean in half after years of abuse, this seemed the easiest and most cost effective way to replace them. The instructions were clear, kit was minimal and easy to use by myself with just a mirror. You do need to be quick with the putty stuff, as it says in the instructions it sets quite quickly, but it just takes a good squidge about and it's ready. Have some tissues at the ready when you're doing your impressions, there is dribble involved!! but the process is not uncomfortable and you're free to sit or stand up while you're doing it which means you're not gagging so much as you would be lying back in a dentist's chair. Once it's done you just pop it back in an envelope and send it off (the postage is not included but it's pretty light so not a huge expense). DenLab sent several emails to let me know the process and whatever stage my retainers were at, that my impressions were received and were useable, and when they had been dispatched to me which was lovely. The retainers themselves are very high quality plastic and fit exactly to my teeth and gums with no rubbing - they're even better than the ones that my orthodontist made me originally. I can even talk with them in without any noticeable lisping as they properly fit around my gums with no flaring! As long as you follow the instructions and get good impressions first time, this is much cheaper than having new impressions done at the dentist and having to faff about with appointments and additional costs. Highly recommended!
