Orthodontic Dental Retainer - Custom Made (Upper Teeth)

I would be happy to recommend this lab to anyone requiring an orthodontic retainer. The process is so simple! Once you purchase this product, within a few days an impression kit containing impression trays, four putty pods (2x base, 2x catalyst) and a comprehensive set of instructions arrive describing what they need and what they are looking for. This is absolutely fantastic for a novice.Once you do your impressions, you can email the pictures of your impression to make sure that it is fit for manufacture. They gave me a provisional approval that it looked satisfactory but final inspection will be carried out once they receive the dental impression in the lab, An email was sent out after this stage to inform me that the impression was fine and they will be manufacturing the retainer and within a week I received my retainer. The quality of the retainer was good; it wasn't flimsy like some retainers that I have seen but the plastic used was rigid and the retainer was made very well. What was most impressive was the excellent customer service that the dental laboratory provided. I needed to contact them via telephone and email and on all occasions everyone I spoke to or liaised with were helpful and very polite.Overall, I am happy that I purchased my retainer with denLab Direct. I would recommend them to anyone. This is a service that is very convenient especially for people who are not able to go into their dentists for two visits to have their retainers made and it is certainly very affordable.

I got my braces off around 3 years ago and was given a retainer from my orthodontist. As the years have gone by my retainer began to break apart and had big chunks missing out of it. I have severe anxiety so was unable to visit my dentist for a replacement, the next place I looked was online and I was surprised to find that you can actually buy custom made retainers.The price is very affordable and cheaper than the NHS which was impressive!The moulding kit was sent out very quickly and it was easy enough to do. I was worried I'd struggle to put it together in time but it was so much easier than I thought. What's great about the impression kit is that you get three attempts to make a mould of your teeth. I was happy with how my second impression turned out so I sent DenLab a picture message to confirm it looked ok and they said it was fine so I sent it back First Class Recorded the next day which cost me under £5.00. You can return your impression in the box it is sent in so you don't have to waste money on packaging. I just made sure to sellotape it up so it didn't come undone in the post.I then got an email a few days later confirming it had arrived safely and they'll get to work on my retainer. It was less than a week and the retainer arrived in a sturdy case. I took the retainer out to have a look at it and it was perfect! The plastic was a good thickness, a little thicker than my previous one which I prefer because it is less likely to break apart. I put it in my mouth and it was a really snug fit and so comfortable. I slept in it last night and I had no problems or irritation. It is honestly a flawless product that fits my teeth perfectly!I know I've only had my retainer for one day so far but I'm very thankful and so far feeling super impressed by your service. Firstly reason for purchase was I paid a huge amount of money to have braces when I was 18 and over 10 years on had seen some difference in movement of my teeth ,,, although not major I didn't want them to get worse and this seemed like the perfect option to avoid dentist costs !!Was sent my package but before I had even sent it off had a message from the company saying they received it but the impression was wrong and had sent out another pack ,,, slightly confused I didn't bother to reply about the mix up and received my replacement pack ,, Lucky I did as it took me 4 attempts until it came out right !! ( you have to mix 2 pots of soft clay for 60 seconds and put it quickly in the mouth guard then try and position that in your mouth leaving it in there for 2 minutes to then get it out before it sets,,,as well as keeping track on the stopwatch,,,not as easy as some make out )Sent of my impression and received my retainer about 2 weeks later- annoyed to find it didn't fit !! The company sent out another pack,,,thought 3rd time lucky- how wrong I was !! My tooth has been damaged and I now face huge dentist costs which I cant afford,,,,This company is a complete fraud and I'm furious !!

Having recently cracked my previous retainer and not wanting to pay another £400 for a new bit of overpriced plastic mould, I decided to these a try. Great customer service and instructions for use were clear and concise. These new retainers are a perfect fit, better than my previous ones! In fact I'm thinking of purchasing a spare set. Thanks for providing this service!Edited 10/03/17I've been using this retainer for nearly a year and initially was very impressed. However in the last few months I've noticed my front tooth moving out of position. Something I had previously corrected with a brace. It's not terribly noticeable but very annoying considering expensive orthodontic treatment. I've been using my previous cracked retainer for 1 week and already my tooth has realigned correctly. The plastic used on denlab retainer is thinner and reaches the gum whereas my original retainer has a harder plastic and only covers the teeth.Price wise this retainer is perfect however it didn't stop my teeth from moving as per product description.
