This is an awesome book.
The book is a very simple overview of the Iliad, from the standpoint of the emotions of a few of the people in it during a few of the highlight events. The illustrations are well done, from Achilles wrapped in what my students called his "burrito of sadness" after Patroclus dies, to the fire of anger in his eyes, to later a great picture of him fighting the river. There is Athena seen floating above the action in the scene where Agamemnon takes Briseis. We see Andromache and Priam watching worried from the walls of Troy as Hector and Achilles battle it out. We see Priam groveling for the body of his hero son. A wonderful book to read aloud, teach a few emotion words, and do a general overview of an epic poem and story. I have had *way* too much fun with this book.

Great book
My son began Latin as a fifth grader. He is now a serious adult, and I got him the book to remind him of the linguistic fun he had in elementary school!
