Revell 04261 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Model Kit

I purchased this for a present / the model itself is very good and the price is right ,but it should of been put into another box because it was damaged because of this /the model was ok but its a let down i have purchased othe item like this and they arrived in proper boxes

I didn't give it the 5 star because the PAINTS DO NOT COME INCLUDED, there wasn't even any glue so I had to get some from a previous model from 5 years ago that came with glue. This was the first revelle model I had made, and it took me just under a day to complete it (Without paints) - it is difficult but as long as you read the instructions you'll be fine. The most difficult part of the instructions to grasp is the wing wheels; you have to part the supports about 30 degrees apart, however, in the instructions it looks as if you part them at a 45 degree angle! On the whole, it's not worth the price.

Typical Revell model, enjoyable process assembling the kit.

Son-in-law is a pilot and this is his favourite Airplane. During Covid19 lockdown it was built, painted and admired whilst he was awaiting the call to go back into the air in the real version. He loves it.

Rather easy model to make, the scale is perfect. I would recommend to make without gear because it is a bit flimsy. I ended up removing the gear. Gorgeous livery.

The stickers need cutting out. Very disappointed.

There are numerous scratches and rough patches on the plastic fuselage and some parts were broken on receipt. Very disappointing.

I bought this as a present for my partner who is a pilot. It was a little expensive for what it is but I didn't mind. It arrived quickly and was in a plain box so he wouldn't see what it was. When I gave it to him he seemed chuffed with it and said he can't wait to get started building it. I can't comment on how easy it is to build etc. All I can say is it's a little expensive for what it is, it arrived quickly and was well packaged. I would recommend this to any Dreamliner or plane enthusiast!Thank you.

Es una maqueta de Revell, esta marca está caracterizada por hacer maquetas de buena calidad, sin grandes rebabas y encajan perfectamente, y esta es una más. No pongo fotos pues aún no la monté.Atención, no es una maqueta montada, es una maqueta de plástico para montar, con sus instrucciones, llevan su tiempo a montar, ideal para los aficionados de las maquetas, prestar atención a las piezas pequeñas. No trae pintura ni pegamento.Es una maqueta ideal para aficionados de la aviación comercial

Un modelo muy bien detallado, la calidad del materia es excelente.

Dieses Modell ist eines der wenigen von Revell, dass man ohne großes Nacharbeiten leicht fertigstellen kann. Die Passgenauigkeit ist hier perfekt und auch das Material des Spritzlings fällt positiv auf: ziemlich fest und in der Oberfläche leicht rauh,was den Anstrich deutlich erleichtert.Wie immer bei Revell gibt es die Variante mit und ohne Fahrwerk. Ich habe mich für die Flugvariante entschieden.Natürlich sind keine Farben und Kleber dabei, aber das im Grunde ja nichts Neues.Deutliches Kaufempfehlung von mir.

Very nice detail. All parts fit ok with the usual light clean up. I build my jets with wheels up for an in flight look. Maybe Revel would sell more if they left out the wheels and internal engine detail/options reducing parts count by half and sold a series of airliners for under $20. With airliners its all about the livery (paint job and decals) anyway.
