If my husband is available and can use his strength to push it down it chops the onion perfect but if you don't have a lot of strength then it will not work and once I get the onion in it I cannot get it back out to finish it by hand. The idea is wonderful but it does have its faults.

The plastic of the bottom clear container cracked the first time I used it, it's not very strong & neither is the 'blade'. This isn't nearly as easy to use or strong as I was hoping.

This product works great. It is priced at a appropriate price. I have purchased The Viola and it was way more expensive and broke on my twice.

afraid to put to much pressure in cutting an onion. Not the highest grade plastic used, just doesn't feel sturdy.

I used this item tonight for the first time. VERY IMPORTANT - HEALTH HAZARD!!! Chopped an onion - worked great BUT, after saute for a long time to carmalize the onions, as they started to turn brown, I notice little white things in the onions. I started picking them out. I finally took a close look at the white pieces & the chopper & realized that this is improperly aligned & sliced up the plastic into the onions!!!!!!!! But Wait - that's the good news. I was on my 5th time through picking out the white plastic pieces (knowing already that we could NOT eat this food that cost money, took an hour of time & many ingrediants) when I started finding tiny blades!!!!!!!! THIS IS INSANE! WHAT IF I HADN'T NOTICED? OR HADN'T BEEN COOKING ONIONS ALONE IN A SKILLET & HAD DUMPED IT ALL INTO A POT???????? IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A TRIP TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AT THE VERY BEST SCENARIO, OR WORSE! I AM HORRIFIED TH AT THIS PRODUCT IS BEING MADE & SOLD. MY LIFE & MY FAMILIES LIVES WERE PUT AT RISK - THANK GOD, TRULY THAT I CAUGHT IT. I am not being dramatic. I am telling the horrible truth & am absolutely beside myself right now. Again, imagine if we had eaten not only shaved pieces of plastic, but basically razor blades!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness! I used this for the first time tonight, it was awesome! I took the skin off, cut in quarters and went to town...then decided to challenge it with a tomato and it again surprised me. My only concern is regarding the blades....what to do if they get dull. Regardless, it's a great product!!

I use the chopper pretty heavily for large batches of vegetables and it measures up nicely. Cleanup is very easy.
