i have been a fan of scalextrix for years. the old cars used to have much larger diameter connectors and i thought these would be the same, but sadly these are the new small ones you get these days... i can't fault them as such, but compared to the contact of the old ones, these make poor contact and are delicate. if you can get the older larger diameter ones, i would recommend those over these.

We purchased a scaelectric set on ebay and the cars worked intermittently but soon got going again when we replaced with these
