Great fixer . Used for Panpastels in my Rita Berman coloring book. also in my sketch book to stop pencils rubbing . I use a hair spray bottle (empty ) and it works a treat will buy again it is great in my option

After ruining a piece of soft pastel work with a spray can of fixative due to excessive darkening I bought the Spectrafix after watching some you tubes. It works and it does not overdarken pastel or coloured pencil. Only complaint is the nozzle, it is a pump action and tends to be a bit 'splotty'. I also think it is very expensive considering its 3 simple ingredients, one of which is water. But the main point is that is does not damage your work, unlike most of the spray can types.

Does the job

This stuff is a menace, it curls you paper, not what I want, It says good on any paper, yeah if you want toilet roll, maybe use it to make homemade blending stumps..... not fit for purpose, could be okay on streched canvas !!!!! paper is a NO NO and I bought a finer spray bottle £30 down the drain USE HAIRSPRAY...

Excellent product. I have used it on several of my graphite drawings, now. There has been no darkening or marks. You need to shake well to make sure the spray is fine. Once you are used to doing this, the product works perfectly. In my opinion there are NO NASTY SMELLS. I find I can spray inside with no problem

Liked this product as no harsh or harmful chemicals in it. However I would advise caution when spraying it onto an artwork from the original bottle as the spray was not consistently fine and I ended up with large droplet marks on my pastel work. If these aren’t removed whilst still wet - the marks are impossible to cover up or remove.

Doesn't discolour artwork or turn the colours dark. Can be used indoors as it doesn't have any toxic ingredients, safe to use and doesn't have an odour.

Besides having to wait a little while for the spray to dry, it does a very good job sealing water soluable media, it could also work if you are lokking for the drips effect. I would buy this again.

Averlo comprato prima avrei risparmiato tutti i soldi che ho buttato cercando un fissativo per pastello che non alteri i colori !Con questo i colori rimangono inalterati nel tono e nella intensità.Bidogna avere l'accortezza di spruzzarlo ad almeno 40 cm di distanza e il disegno deve stare in posizione orizzontale:uso le matite Gioconda Pastel della koh-i-noor, hanno una certa solubilità in acqua: il primo lavoro che ho fissato era in posizione verticale, come al solito, e il colore è colato lungo la superficie del foglio ( ho spruzzato da una distanza di circa 20 cm, troppo vicino ) .Gli altri lavori li ho fissati con il foglio in orizzontale, spruzzato da 40 cm di distanza e il risultato è stato perfetto !Consigliatissimo !

Pour retravailler sur une couche de pastel ou fixer un pastel c'est bien utile!

Works as promised

Great product, no color changes on pastels!!! Amazing! Holds better than not using anything, but not as well as other products. However, the fact that it does hold something, and it doesn't change color is worth it. Definitely would recommend.
