Trees: A complete guide to their biology and structure

a fantasticread, and this will help my son out a lot as this is one of the course books he needs. i know they have ordered a lot in the library, but its knowing you can look at it when ever you need to recap on it. money well spent!

what a pleasure to read - learned so much about trees and not orientated towards 'academic' biology but learning about trees in a wider perspective. I thought it well worth the money and very pleased to have it as a reference on my shelf now I have read it cover to cover.

Although I have a background in Biology, I am by no means an expert and have not covered much plant Biology before. This book is a great introduction to trees and covers everything from tree evolution to trees and humans, particularly covering structure and biomechanics excellently. 'Trees' is accessible to readers from non-scientific backgrounds, avoiding using jargon and offering simple explanations, whilst going into enough depth and detail to be interesting to a biologist. I would recommend this book to both readers from science and non-science backgrounds and it would be especially interesting to any students perusing studies or careers in plant biology, ecology or forestry.

Excellent publication. all I was expecting and more. Well laid out, and written. an interesting and insightful read... Recommended.

A decent book to learn more about trees. Wouldn't say it's good ad a casual read buying you are learning or researching about trees and their growth it would definitely be worth a purchase.
