Brilliant!
My little boy is absolutely train obsessed for this is amazing for him, he loves the colour and the sound it makes, as well as the speed it goes! Such a fun toy that he plays with for ages!

Excellent locomotive for brio set
This has so much going for it. It has forward and backward buttons and sound effects too. It travels much faster than an older one, takes two batteries and those have really lasted well. It also turns auto shut off, which is great (in my opinion) as little ones tend to wander off and leave things running! The main benefit is that it is green, which is my grandson's favourite colour!

Strong and nice pace
My boy loves it just as fast as the golden one and pulls well. Nice and easy to use make sure you have plenty of batteries AAA

Lovely train
Bought this for my grandson for his 4th birthday and we love it. Was a bit confused about battery installation at first, you need to put a crosshead screwdriver down the funnel to remove the front to get them in. Once done though this very attractive train runs nice and smoothly and with lovely sounds too. Bit of an all rounder too, it runs nicely on floors and even climbs up and down rugs with ease. Lovely item and a great addition to his set, would be five stars if they included the batts.

Nice little battery train
We bought the red train model for a few months, and have now bought this green one for our younger son. It feels a very well made toy. It's not particularly fast, but it assuredly pulls a trainload of carriages around the Brio track and over bridges. It occasionally stops if the track pieces are horizontally misaligned (as sometimes happens if you are using track from different manufacturers, for instance) or the bend is too tight, but a quick push soon gets it going again. The accompanying sounds can't be turned off, but they are not overly loud or annoying, and only play for a few seconds when the train starts its journey. The two forward lights, and the red reversing light, are nice touches. I also like the switch that coverts the train into a free-wheeler, for pushalong play. You will need a small phillips screwdriver to change the batteries, by removing the front of the boiler via a screw in the chimney stack. It's a little fiddly, but not overly complex.

Well worth it
Battery lasts 4 hours of constant use. I know this as my son got through 3 sets of triple A in a single day. As he didn't put it down from the moment he woke up. Well worth the price.

Our little one's favorite toy
For the moment it's become out little one's favorite toy, can't get enough of the 'choo-choo' sounds. Also strong engine when it runs on full battery, especially going up slanted tracks with carriages, however going in reverse is slightly weaker which to be honest is expected, but still cool. The free roll switch is also great and rides very smoothly in that mode.

Best powered Brio locomotive to date
This little gem is a delight. It pulls a train easily around the track and up and down inclines. Sound effects and lighting really good . Replacing 2x AA batteries a bit fiddly, but worth it for the resulting performance.
