This gate is good, works exactly as it should. I hated drilling it into the wall, but with how sturdy it is I do get it now. Also, if you're getting this for a toddler just know it is not that hard for them to figure out lol mine was unlocking it and crawling underneath in no time.

Bought 3 of these as my baby gate for my daughter… I like how they retract instead of the usual baby gates that look like a baby jail gate and sometimes jams on my finger too… I love how it also helps block the dogs out of the play area, while baby girl plays and crawls around. And instead of shutting the door we just use this to keep baby girl from coming out of her bedroom.

So we're using this for a doggie gate, because our 80 pound lab/pit likes to steal things off the kitchen counter... he also can get some food aggression when we or the other pets are eating... so far so good. Now, the dogs havent tried to topple the gate over, so we are not having a problem with that. I imagine if our dogs REALLY wanted to they would absolutely be able to break/tear through it. My cats have jumped over it with no crushing though. The best part is we bought an extra set of mounting hardware for another area of the house and we can move the gate around as needed, it is super simple to move. Overall, were very happy with this and its solved our kitchen bandit issues.

I bought this to put at the bottom of my stairs to keep out a toddler. My 6 year old is able to open and close it. Wasn't too difficult to install. Two out of 4 screws broke as I was screwing them in. So each plastic hook doesn't stay in place and I have broken screws in my banister.

Works great bought it to keep the dogs out of the lower living room and it works great and it allows air flow for the fire place
