No God but One: Allah or Jesus?: A Former Muslim Investigates the Evidence for Islam and Christianity
J**Y
Absolutely Brilliant
A very careful analysis of the evidence for Islam and Christianity by a man who started life as a Muslim and became a Christian. Even for Christians it helps to refocus what the gospel is about and it would certainly help as background knowledge in discussions with Muslim friends

What more could he have offered us
Christians tend to read books and argue the facts. Muslims comment on these books and argue from emotion - read the comments. And this subject is emotive to Muslims because Nabeel left Islam and became a Christian.Had the LORD not taken him up into Glory, Nabeel could have gone on to bring us many more insightful books. Our loss if God's Great Gain.Nabeel's story begins as a Muslim who encounters David Wood, who is at the beginning of his journey into his Apologetics Ministry. They debate and share evidences for years. Eventually Nabeel concludes that Christianity is the True Religion and leaves Islam and all that this means, such as family, friends, community and the rituals. It is very sad that this has to happen and was a trying time for Nabeel. This isn't a hugely Academic work, so it is easily read. It is also very insightful regards Islam. Nabeel was a more gentle man after his conversion and had some interesting debates. Sadly, it seems he could have matured into an excellent speaker and gone on to write some classics no doubt. Why buy? Get some insight into Islam and whether or not, "All gods are the same."

An excellent investigation
The conversion of the author from Islam to Christianity was widely reported in the media. This book gives the reason why. It clearly explains the difference between the two faiths in terms of theology, practice and history and in doing so makes a very strong case for Christianity. But, even if you are left unconvinced about the case Christianity, you cannot ignore the case against Islam. The text is irenic, gentle and inoffensive. Recommended read.

Reccommended
The author was born and raised as a devout and committed Muslim but was eventually convinced of the truth of Christianity and so became a Christian. This book is his analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of both religions; it is based on his own studies, years of discussions with friends and televised debates between representatives of the two faiths. He compares: Sharia and the Gospel, Tawhid (the Muslim concept of God) with the Trinity, the two founders (Muhammad and Jesus), the Quran and the Bible. He also discusses: the case for the death and Resurrection of Jesus, the questions of whether Muhammad was a prophet of God and whether the Quran is the Word of God. His conclusion is that the evidence for Christianity is strong, while the evidence for Islam is weak.I learned a great deal about Islam from this book and even gained some new insight into the Christian doctrine of the Trinity.Qureshi takes the view that the authors of the books of the Bible were inspired by God. I expect that there are many Christian academics that would not take that view, especially as there are so many who question the historical value of the Gospels and the Old Testament.I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in comparing Islam and Christianity.Qureshi’s conclusion is that Christianity is true – and the truth is worth dying for.

Logical, concise, well constructed refutation of the claim ...
Logical, concise, well constructed refutation of the claim by the Christian Churches that Christians & Muslims worship the same God. Written by a former devote Muslim who made the obviously difficult passage from the faith in which he was raised to accepting Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord. A must read for anyone, Christian or not, who is skeptical of the claims that are made by Church hierarchy, unsubstantiated in Christian scripture, that Muslims & Christians worship the same God and that the religions are following different paths to the same God. The author demonstrates that the characteristics of the respective Gods are antithetical beyond the banal, least common denominator characteristics of being a creator, talking to its people, similar (alleged) prophets, etc.

If you want to know the differences between Christianity and Islam look no further.
I think the author did a fantastic job in explaining the most 'hot' topics about Islam but I was even more surprised how clear he explained the Christian faith and it's pillar.I found it easy to read and I don't you need to read it from back to back (tho I did). Each chapter is explained and answered individually which makes it easy to hold on the information. This is probably one the best books to read about the differences between Christianity and IslamThe book is full of notes where the reader can go further For further checksRecommended
