My lad will probably be coming to the end of his time with the Elf on the shelf this year.This gives me mixed emotions as he has really enjoyed Elf making an appearance on the 1st December each year but the ensuing chaos and mess that followed from his escapades will not be missed! :)This is a simple, cheap and fun way for your child to receive messages from the Elf, usually when they get up in a morning, and write them if they wish.It comes with the pen you use and does not really need an explanation on how to use.Basically if you have an Elf at Christmas, you should have this. It really adds to the experience for the kids.

We are currently using this as communication between our elf on shelf and my little boy (it's nearly crimbo) . My little boy is beyond excited that they can write him notes.It's easy to write on and you just pull the side out to wipe it clean and start a new note. It's been all over the house and it's not fallen apart. Well made especially with a 4 year old keep touching it.I'd definitely buy another.

I got this for when the elves come this year. Its only flimsy card but works perfectly well for what I wanted. There is a drawing pen with it, you write on the grey part and then to remove it, just pull the part where the pen goes and it pulls the grey bit out and erases as it does. Then you have a blank bit to write on again.Great to write little notes from the elves to my kids.

Usable but made of flimsy cardboard not “Slate” as stated in the materials description.

Refreshing low tech, my grand children had great fun with these.

Not properly used but writes / wipes well. Should serve it’s purpose this Christmas !

Received this all fast and great priceBut it doesn’t work. When you write on it the writing disappears it doesn’t stay
