Bittersweet: A Grumpy Sunshine Neighbors Romance (Ocean View Series Book 3)

ARC Review - So so good!
Bittersweet follows the story of Lola, the Mayor's daughter who opens her own bakery, and Ben, the artistic grumpy neighbour who owns the tattoo shop. Ben is first mentioned in the Springbrook Hills series as he's Tanner's brother. Lola is a brand new character who we haven't met previously. This book is grumpy sunshine, enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity and oh-so-spicy! The difference in characterisation between Lola and Ben made their relationship explosive. From the moment they meet, they dislike each other. Assumptions are made and their contempt is strong until a lil steamy voice note is sent accidentally. From there, things progress and everything just keeps getting better. I loved how Ben was similar to Tanner but so different as well. He's strong, not afraid to go after what he wants and is sexy as hell. But he also has a more vulnerable side to him, which Lola revels in and actually helps him accept. Lola may be the Mayor's daughter, who has never lived her life for her, but when she meets Ben, she starts growing into her own person. She has a fire inside her that honestly, made me look at life a little differently. Also, the mafia aspect of this book was a twist I loved.I'm a sucker for a particular type of scene in books (I won't say what it is coz I don't want to spoil it), but Morgan included it in Bittersweet and I loved it so much! Everything about this book was so good, especially the cameos from other characters in the series and also Hattie (Loved her!).Out of the Ocean View Series characters, Ben is my favourite guy and Lola is very close with Gabi for being my fave girl. I love Morgan's writing and can't wait for her future books!

could have been better…
I really wanted to love these guys, Im all on board with flawed characters but they didn’t have the redeeming qualities to go along with it. The steamy scenes were good but I could have done without her calling him daddy though!

Honestly, I never not finish books. I usually force myself even if I’m not enjoying the reading but this book I couldn’t stand anymore. The female character is full of issues with her dad then she finds a guy that likes to be called “daddy”?! All the characters are super annoying, MMC is rude and weird. There’s nothing I like about this book not even the bedroom scenes.
