I bought this as a stocking filler for my wife this Christmas, because the existing tube (a first replacement after about 20 years) on her 40 year Hoover Electron tumbler dryer was starting to tear in places. Also, it was always a bit of a stretch to reach the window, and it could have done with being a foot or so longer. This one arrived very quickly, and although it appeared marginally narrower that the existing tube, it was still easy to fit and tape onto the rectangular Hoover outlet fitting. The extra length makes hanging it out of the window much easier. Only time will tell how well the plastic will stand up to wear and tear, but at this sort of price, anything more than two or three years will be good value.

When trying to attach this to my tumble dryer this hose does not screw/twist in the correct direction. My old manufacturers hose was splitting and needs to be screwed/twisted in an anti clockwise direction. This new hose purchased from Amazon 'screws'/twists in the other direction i.e.clockwise. You can't tell from the Amazons photo at all. If you search for other hoses e.g. Blauberg with appropriate photos, you'll find that they 'screw'/twist in an anti clokwise direction.

ALREADY FITTED, STRUGGLED A BIT TO GET IT ONTO THE PLASTIC BIT THAT CLIPS IN THE BACK OF THE DRYER, BUT ONCE FIDDLED N STRETCHED IT A BIT N TAPED IT ON ITS STAYED SO FAR, N JAMMED THE FIRST TWISTS OF THE WIRES ONTO THE EDGE CLIPS OF THAT BUT THAT FITS IN THE BACK OF THE DRYER, SEEMS OK, ID BUY ANOTHER ONE, AND THIS ONE IS LONGER THAN MY OLD ONE SO FITS OUT MY BEDROOM WINDOWN BETTER, / MY OLDER ONE WAS A BIT SHORT, THIS ONE IS LONGER N BETTER I DONT HAV2 STRUGGLE NOW, THANK YOUMY CATS DESTROYED MY OLD ONE

Got this as the hose supplied with the TD wasn't long enough. In the event, this longer version didn't screw in well to the machine fitting ring, leaving gaps - which defeated the object of venting steam away. I ended up keeping the original, and used this to extend it to the required length via a round push-on joint section, which I then taped up to give a good seal. Got there eventually.

struggled to find a replacement tube for my Bush dryer because of the kind of connection. original tube fell apart. bought this, taped it to the screw-in end of the original tube (rest had split open so cut it off) and screwed it in. works perfectly and actually reaches my window unlike the other which i had to cautiously balance as close to the window as i could get it. no complaints. good price. does the job well :)

This works really well for my tumble dryer. Easy to fit the hose. It is an exceptionally long hose, so ideal if you house your tumble dryer inside the house and need to hang the hose out of the window.

I bought this as an extension to my tumble dryer vent which is now long enough to put through my cat flap. No more condensation in my kitchen. Very pleased, good value for money.

Brilliant replacement, easily fitted within minutes. Now I can enjoy my house without steamed up windows as this easily reaches the window closest to my dryer and has lots left over! Good quality and recommended.
