Solid lock
Well made and solid rim lock. It replaces a cheaper version (which kept jamming) and has worked perfectly since installation.

Ok , but the keys from other locks fit this one!!
Lock is ok and does the job but just a word of warning...I lost the keys to my back gate on the path outside my house, normally i would have just got a key cut, but seeing as i knew i had dropped the keys OUTSIDE MY HOUSE and that they had gone missing even though there was nowhere for them to be hidden i.e. i walked to my car and back nothing else, and there is no vegetation or holes for them to have slipped in to.So i thought better to buy a new lock and i decided to get the same type as before - the original that i lost the key to is over 15 years old by the way!I ordered this lock and also this one for another jobB004J33ZBAThe thing is the 3 different keys i now have - the 2 for the new locks and my remaining old key all work with all the locks!!!! Although the key shapes are slightly different they all work with each other - even the old original lock.So if some dodgy person has picked up my keys from outside the house and thinks i'll try the gate in the future, even though the lock has been replaced he will still be able to open it!!!If somebody really wanted to get in to the back garden they could ,so these kind of locks were just to stop the casual opportunistic type peopleJust thought people should know the issue with the keys if they were replacing a lock because they are not sure about the security of missing keys - no good because they will still work!!!!

Good budget lock
Bought to replace a 100 year old lock. Had to get the drill out as the spindle and keyholes didn’t line up, also, the locking plate position had to be adjusted. Too early to say how long it will last, but it was a very good price compared to other well known brands.
