My PC is about 5 years old now. I purchased an Alien Hardware Aurora r10 at the beginning of the pandemic 2020. It's been running great until recently when I ran out of storage. I went through the tedious task of deleting programs/games I wanted to keep but wasn't using at the moment. In order to download what I wanted to play right now. Us gamers all know that pain, lol. I added an external hard drive but quickly noticed that some of the more complex and demanding games do not play well when downloaded on an external hard drive and just connected with a USB. It makes for buggy and choppy gameplay with constant crashes.I finally decided it was time for an internal hard drive upgrade. This is my first PC and I had no idea what to do. I advise anyone who is PC illiterate like me to make your best friend ChatGPT. It completely helped me through this whole process as far as identifying what product would fit in my PC case and what product was compatible with my PC. It gave me options for different SSDs depending on what I wanted and what I needed. It even walked me through the installation process.All I really needed was more space for my games as well as pictures and videos that I like to save. But I was not expecting the other improvements. I quickly noticed that my PC began to start up with lightning speed. Programs that once took quite a while to boot up now took less than a second or two to start!But the thing that I am most excited about are the download speeds. I have great internet but even so my download speeds have always been slow 20 to 50 Mbps. It would take hours and hours to download things.After installation of this new SSD, download speeds shot up to 700–800+ Mbps!!! I downloaded the new COD BO6 which is over 150 GB in just about 14 minutes. A download like that before the upgrade would have took three to four hours or more! As I've done some reading since, just an SSD upgrade shouldn't have caused such a massive increase in Mbps. My guess is that since I did to a fresh Windows install on the new SSD, that could have cleared up driver issues, background processes, or software that was slowing down my network. That paired with better NVMe performance could be a factor. Either way I'm extremely happy about this upgrade. I would have been happy with just the 2TB of extra space. Next I'll be buying one of these for my sons PS5. A+++

I approached this project with a certain amount of trepidation, never having even opened the case of my 4+ year-old Dell XPS 8940. The boot SSD was a measley 512GB and was full. Something needed to be done.Trusting in Samsung, I ordered this 2TB SSD, along with a Sabrent USB 3.2 to M.2 enclosure (also 5 stars). My Dell had no free M.2 slot, so the Sabrent was necessary for cloning.Received both the SSD and the enclosure yesterday, spent ~18 hours making a clone (no human intervention or observation required) with Samsung Magician SW (My XPS has only a USB 3.1, so the cloning process was SLOW). Slow, but flawless.For Speed Merchants, Sabrent also makes a PCI Express to M.2 adapter. But time was not of the essence, as I have several other PCs in my stable. Hooking up the USB enclosure was simple.Net: The entire process went smoothly and without any errors or missteps. Both products, SSD and enclosure, highly recommended. Happy Camper.

Note: I used the Samsung drive with the ASUS drive case and submitted the same review for that product. ASUS is a name with deep roots in the PC business. I preferred a high level of trust as I transferred around 500 gigabytes to my new Samsung (990 Pro) 2 terabyte, M.2 NVME type SSD. Assembling my new drive into the ASUS case was quick and easy. Then, following Samsungs instructions, the transfer went smoothly and was done in just over 45 minutes. The real test is how my new Samsung drive took over responsibility as my replacement for a smaller main drive in my PC without a hitch. Even though my PC is PCI NVME Gen 3, the Gen 4 Samsung drive is incredibly faster on full virus scans which I did not expect since it has to run Gen 3 which is 8 gigabits per second vs 16 gigabits per second for Gen 4, in both cases for each of 4 lanes of PCI Express bus.

This SSD was really easy to install in my Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 12 laptop. There are a lot of Youtube videos that outline how to clone your original SSD to this one using an enclosure and then install the new SSD. Samsung Magician software worked very well to clone the drive, and everything came as if this drive was originally installed.Great upgrade to the 512 g SSD that came with the system. I am glad that I didn't spring for the 2 TB at the time of my system purchase - Lenovo was asking for way too much. Highly recommended!

WORKS GREAT. I have downloaded so many games on my pc and still have 800 gigs left. 2000 gigabytes is perfect for people that want to stay budget friendly and still not have to worry about what games they’re going to have to uninstall and reinstall later on. You can store any games you want on here and still download games with out caring. It wasn’t crazy hard to install. Just need to have basic knowledge on what’s inside your pc and how it works. Design is really nice, and everything runs really smooth and swift. This thing can process and then some! This will be perfectly compatible with the format on your computer.

I bought two of these to increase the storage space in my Vostro 15 5510 by Dell. I used chatgtp to install and it worked quite well. My Vostro 5510 came with 8 gb of memory and 512 GB of storage. This doubled the ram and the storage. I used chatgtp for instruction on installation. You need two external drives and I had problem because the ones I initially used were corrupt. Once that was fixed everything went fine. Be aware that the 512 GB dell used was half the length of the storage and it took some time and patience to figure out how it fit. Warning: If your computer is under warranty then this will void the warranty.
