My new fave
Not the cheapest products, but totally worth it. Suits my combination, spot prone skin. Smells and feels amazing.

Not entirely convinced
I thought I’d try this product partly because I felt in need of a bit of pampering, and some attention to my own facial skin. I also thought that, if the product seemed good, I’d buy it for some women friends at Christmas.I need to say I do realise that, in the cosmetics industry, visuals and messaging are what count, not proven benefits. Many of us can be persuaded to part with lots of money for products merely because they look nice, and because the makers say they’ll do us good. However, even in this respect these BalanceMe products are unimpressive. For a start, the red pouche looks cheap. I did see that the bag is marked ‘100% recycled’, and wondered whether environmental responsibility was the excuse, but it’s not much defence when the bag mostly holds little plastic tubes that float loosely inside. And these are very small tubes – more like free samples. The various tubes and pots have brief instructions in small writing suggesting how the contents should be applied, but there’s no sense that they amount to a clear treatment programme. ‘Skincare is self-care’ is what it says on the bag, unconvincingly. To be fair – more balanced, even – I must add that I have used the products for several days, and actually my skin is feeling better. Whether this is down to these products, or simply the consequence of me spending a bit more time on ‘self-care’, is impossible to judge. I must also say that I’ve enjoyed the aromas of the different products. This inconclusive sign of real benefits is one reason why, in the end, I’ve awarded four stars. It’s also because it would be unfair of me, in my grumpy scepticism, to condemn BalanceMe for vague claims and vast mark-ups that are typical in the industry. That said, I won’t be buying this product as a gift at Christmas.

Nice product but tester size
Skin feels great using these products, very nice kit, suitable for gifting (although personally I wouldn’t gift a sample pack to someone) but it doesn’t last long at all as most of it is just sample sizes, the only full size product is the eye cream which is the one product you need the least of which is a bit pointless if you ask me but you are basically paying £25 for a bag of tester size products and although they are good after a week your just left with just an eye cream, I would say this is more of a stocking filler for your daughter

Super Skincare Gift Set
This is a great little set which is perfect for Christmas gifting to anyone who loves good skincare. You get five Balance Me products which are Moisture Rich Face Cream (10ml), Wonder Eye Cream (15ml), Super Berry Cleansing Balm (5g), Vitamin C Repair Serum (7ml) and Hyaluronic Plumping Mist (10ml). They come in a bright red gift bag with white stars on which is Christmassy but not too over the top so it is fine to use at any time of the year. I find bags like this so useful either when travelling or to keep various bits and bobs in.I have used the Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream before so I knew that was effective but the other products were new to me. They are all really good and a great way to discover the range. The products can be used step by step to provide complete daytime skincare starting with the cleansing balm, then the plumping mist, followed by the serum, then the eye cream and completing the routine with the day cream.Whether you are buying this as a gift or as a treat for yourself it is a great set and good value too. The eye cream is full size and normally retails at approximately £18 so for not that much more you are getting another four products and the bag too.

Balance Me Gift Set – Lovely Skincare Products
The Christmas gift set comes in a red colour, recycled plastic zipped storge bag with the branding ‘Balance Me’ on the front – unfortunately for me the bag didn’t feel very premium (it was a bit hard and scratchy) maybe due to being recycled(?) and I felt that the set may have been better presented in a nice cardboard box. However, having said that the storage bag is recyclable if you don’t wish to keep it. The gift set itself contains 5 products which help the skin during the colder months:• Wonder Eye Cream – 15ml (contains witch hazel, hyaluronic acid and cucumber oil)• Hyaluronic Plumping Mist – 10ml (contains chamomile water, pineapple extract and hyaluronic acid)• Vitamin C Repair Serum – 7ml (contains stabilised vitamin C, boerhavia diffusa, squalene and hyaluronic acid)• Moisture Rich Face Cream – 10ml (contains rosehip oil, artic cloudberry and rose absolute)• Super Berry Cleansing Balm – 5g (contains grapeseed oil, jojoba oil and sweet almond oil)All the products are 100% natural (apart from the hyaluronic plumping mist which is 99.9% and the vitamin C repair serum which is 99.8%) and have a whole host of nice-looking natural ingredients. I have highlighted a few of the active ingredients above.Having used them for over a week I would say that the products have improved the appearance of my skin and they do have nice scents with all of the natural ingredients. The set is a great way to introduce someone to the Balance Me brand so they can decide which products work best for them.I really like the wonder eye cream – it comes in a glass bottle and has a pump dispensing system for easy application; it feels really nice on the sensitive skin around your eyes. The hyaluronic plumping mist comes in a spray bottle which is great for on the go and the vitamin C and face cream both come in small squeeze tubes which are great for travelling with. The cleansing balm is in a small glass screw lid tub.I do like the ‘Balance Me’ simple branding and think they look very nice on display. It is worth noting that all products have a shelf life of 6 months. The products are quite small in size but when you consider you are effectively paying £5 per product, I’m not surprised by this. Looking at the brand’s Amazon page the set is definitely worth the money when comparing it to the originals. The only product I couldn’t find on their page was the cleansing balm, but either way you are definitely getting your money’s worth with this set (priced at £25 at the time of reviewing). The brand also is completely vegan and cruelty free and the products are made in the UK. I would recommend this set as a way of trying the brand’s range or for gifting.
