The Best Teapot I Have Ever Owned
This was my third Bodum teapot. It stands out as being stronger and more durable than the smaller pots I previously had.Heat-resistant glass suffers from thermal stress when filled with boiling water. Although the glass is designed to withstand this, nevertheless it does warp a fraction when rapidly heated. My two smaller Bodum pots broke spontaneously after about 18 months' of daily use. They just suddenly fell apart while being filled. The 1.5L version, this one, is made of noticeably thicker glass which is better able to withstand repeated thermal stress. I have used mine for two years' now - say 2,000-odd brews - and am confident it will keep going indefinitely. All that said, the design is excellent and it makes lovely, fresh, tea. The large size isn't an inconvenience - filling it less than a third full?: then give it a swish around while brewing and after pressing the plunger. The press separates the tea from the brew very well and keeps the tea from becoming bitter.Tip: to help prevent accidental damage to the glass, e.g. chipping from a knock when not in use, I keep mine in a wooden bowl. I have also stuck transparent strips of protective laminate around the pot. This further reduces the chance of accidental chipping if it is knocked against something hard.Lastly, the pot's low mass means that pre-warming is unnecessary. A minor detail, but helpful for a tea addict like me.

Stylish teapot
Had the style of teapot before and loved it, unfortunately had to buy another when the original got broken. Although the same as before , the handle has changed slightly, preferred the broader previous handle. That said it still a fantastic teapot and allows you to brew tea to your taste without letting it stew.

Better than the old one in all ways but one.
I bought this to replace an original which I have had for about 20 years. The old one still works, but the infuser and plunger had seen better days and the plastic lid cracked. This one's better: the stainless infuser allows better flow of boiling water and is easier to clean; the plunger and lid are more robust and the silicone ring between the infuser and the pot holds the infuser in place. Best of all, the pot is the same size & shape as the old one, so I have a spare. The single downside is the glass handle. It seems like it'll be the think to break (so far so good, though...) and it gets hot when under a tea-cosy, which the old plastic one never did. That's the only reason it has lost a star.Oh, and it still makes most excellent tea!!!

This teapot is great, holds enough for two mugs and looks stylish.

Bodum Tea Pot
As described. It works well. Can put the tea pot in the dishwasher but no the filter or the press. The press is quite flimsy. Filters the tea well and makes four cups of tea. Doesn't really work well if you want to "top up" the pot.

Excellent tea pot.
Used at the very least once a day every day since purchase apart from holidays, usually used 3/4 times a day, still as happy with it as the day I bought it.I bought the plastic insert before this one, that one is awful, don't try to cheap out like I did and just get this one.If the metal insert isn't placed in perfectly centred on the pot, the tea can spill, but that is user error (me half asleep on the way out in the morning), so not the fault of the item, and I have not taken any stars off for it, but just something to consider.Would buy again if I ever broke it, have tried other similar pots in both size and price band and this one is much better than the others I tried (john lewis etc)

An excellent teapot.
I am really pleased with this teapot. Its nice and big - you can get 5 mugs of tea out of it. The volume means that there is plenty of space and heat to brew a good cup of tea. Guests have complimented us on our tea. We have noticed a surprising improve, meant in flavour over the same same tea brewed in our old teapot. It seems to keep the tea hot for ages too.Only downside is that the handle has been put on rather wonky. Could do with a bit better quality control at this price level.

Not fit for purpose, imo
I was reasonably pleased with this when it first arrived but it soon became apparent that it needed to be filled sufficiently high to cover the diffuser or the tea would be too weak for my taste. I like to have two cups from one teabag but for it to work with this I’d need to use two bags and put too much water in.We sometimes do a brew for two with a Ringtons bag and an Earl Grey bag and on these occasions it’s ok.Care is needed when washing it as the diffuser has a really sharp rim as I found to my cost recently. Whilst running the sponge round the inside of the diffuser I gashed my index finger on the sharp edge.I was beginning to lose patience with this teapot when the plunger (which from the day we’d got it was very flimsy and never very effective) dropped to the floor and snapped - see photo. I tried superglue but that was ineffective so I’m pretty much left with a glass goldfish bowl to drink my tea out of. Steer clear. Promised much but delivered little, sadly. Will be going back to a normal old style pot ASAP.

Nice!
I really like this tea pot. This is the second one I have purchased. It's a little pricy but it is a nice large size; really good quality. Be careful though, it is glass and not heavy duty so it will break if it slips while you wash it.

Muy práctica
Es una tetera muy práctica para todos los días y cuando se usa té suelto, no hay que poner bolsa o infusionador. Da para 2 ó 3 tazas. Tiene un diseño bonito.
