I had a very bad experience with the seller
I had a very bad experience with the seller, Kikatek. I ordered the SH97R6 from them via Amazon and it arrived promptly. I waited for the other required components to arrive and then installed them. I was exceptionally careful when installing the CPU and in applying thermal paste as I didn't want to bend any of the CPU socket pins, which are easily bendable or breakable and I also didn't want to spill any excess thermal paste anywhere on the motherboard. When I turned the machine on, there was no post and the machine rebooted after approximately 1 minute in an endless loop. Not wanting to fiddle around too much, I requested RMA from Kikatek. When they received the SH97R6, they accused me of having bent CPU socket pins and refused RMA. They returned the SH97R6 and I noticed the bent CPU socket pins. I should have taken pictures of the CPU socket before returning the SH97R6. As Kikatek were unwilling to help me, I then bent the pins straight and tried again, but the same problem occurred. I then decided to contact Shuttle directly and they advised me to try the machine with just the CPU and one RAM module installed. To my delight, the machine posted. I tried each RAM module by themselves and discovered that one of the RAM modules caused the SH97R6 to not post. I therefore arranged for RMA of the faulty RAM module and the SH97R6 is running beautifully. Here are the specifications of the SH97R6 and its components:Shuttle SH97R6Corsair CMV16GX3M2A1600C11 16GB DDR3 x 4Intel Core i7 i7-4790K CPUSamsung 840 EVO 1TB mSATA Solid State DriveSamsung 840 EVO 1TB 2.5-inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive x 2EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 970Shuttle WLN-C Wireless LAN KitShuttle PHD3 HDD Installation Frame 2.5 InchesLG BH16NS40.AUAR10B 16x SATA Internal BD-RWAll I can say is follow the instructions very carefully and take extra care when installing the CPU. And you only need a pea-sized amount of thermal paste on top of the CPU placed centre and don't bother to spread it as it will be spread when you reinstall the heat sink. Excess thermal paste can potentially cause problems with the motherboard and you don't want to bend or break any CPU socket pins.

Easy build with latest Bios chip
Good build quality and easy to build PC, its very fast and quiet. Monitor outlets from the on-board video are Display port and Hdmi so you may need a display port to vga adaptor. The complete build cost me about 600gbp. Many people put a graphics card in for gaming but I am happy with the built-in Intel graphics. I can recommend Shuttle this being the third PC I have built for myself and relatives.

Great box, some issues with distributor
I love these cases, but 3 stars because I had issues - this is my 3rd Shuttle the other 2 lasted years and were straight forward builds. I had issues with mine as follows:-- Would not Power on once I built it, took my distributor an age to agree for it to ship back to checks, then they claimed that I had bent the socket pins (I was pretty sure I had been careful, but thought maybe).- Once you've got a damaged socket you need a new Motherboard (And the distributor doesn't provide them and can't help you find one - they expect you to contact Taiwan yourself. so instead, Mini-ITX the case is compatible ? (According the Shuttle Product Site) Well sort of, you need to mount stand-offs to fit the board at the right height on the base, then the bespoke cooling doesn't fit - and you are going to struggle to find a cooler that fits (Corsair Hydro, attached inside the front - but with the drive cage removed)- Once I built the new system, I found the power supply is not functioning properly, i.e. I ha the same POST issue and surely had not damaged another socket (I had not), I attached a standard desktop PSU and the things fired up perfectly. So now I suspect (but can't prove) the original issue was PSU not bent pins on the socket, let's assume the pins got bent in shipping and no one actually bent them at any time.- New PSU required, ordered from Amazon but came from a solid German supplier very quickly.- anyway I have now a water cooled Z270 mo-bo (better than the Z170 chipset that comes standard) with an M.2 SSD and a GTX-1050-Ti Graphics Card, running core-i7700k.But this costs me a lot more time, tears and money than originally planned, next time I may go for a standard case.

An up-to- date computer.
I have assembled my own computers for many years, including an earlier Shuttle bare bones one. This by far the easiest one and the completed computer works very well. It partly depends on the components you install (can afford).

I love shuttle PC's
Love these shuttles. They are so quiet and such a small form factor. My wife and I have 1 each, and this one is for her dad. A++++++

Viereckig, praktisch gut!

Great choice for high performance small form factor PC
Purchased this primarily to downsize my desktop. I already had the components, and this barebones at the time of purchase was cheaper than building components separately (i.e mobo/case/psu). Currently running the following specsi5-65002x 8gb Crucial DDR4-2133240gb Sandisk SSD (Sata)GTX 1080 (Asus gtx 1080 Turbo) @ stock speedsCouple of things to note. First thing you should do when purchasing this is replacing the rear stock 92mm fan. While its fine as is, its loud under load. I replaced mine with a Noctua (NF-A9 PWM) and its near silent, even with the fan at max rpm. Max GPU length should be no more than 10.5 inches (268mm to be exact); with a 1080 in here, I have a few millimeters left over in space before the GPU hits the front panel bracket; you cant really just drop the GPU in here; you have to put it in at an angle so card length is key. If you intend to run a full length GPU be mindful that you're going to have a heck of a time getting the hard drive bracket in . This is due to location of the power supply and 6+2 pin power cables; I ended up screwing my ssd into one of the open holes in the chassis and letting it hang there. Shuttle included a front fan in this model that runs pretty quiet. If you have a power hungry or hot gpu; Id recommend opting out of putting the hard drive bracket in as itll block airflow a bit from this front fan. The rear fan does help with GPU temps, when left on Smart Mode in BIOS my 1080 sits around 82-84C while looping valley; if I turn it on to Full mode; the gpu temps drop to ~75-78C. For CPU installation, first time I mounted the ICE Cooler and ran prime 95, CPU temps shot up to 96C. The mounting mechanism uses the same system as the stock Intel cooler; you have to push the pins down hard and make sure it clicks for it to be fully seated; in my case one of the pins I though was down all the way wasnt.Overall happy with the purchase, its incredibly mobile and thats why I purchased it; you can even use the shuttle XPC box it came in to take it with you for added protection since the box they ship it in has a handle up top. If you purchase it here, make sure to select "ship in box" option; apparently I didnt see it and Amazon shipped the shuttle as is (in the retail box) and not in a packaging box. If this is gift for someone or you are paranoid about someone maybe tempering with your stuff, just be mindful of that option.
