da Vinci Cosmetics Series 4832 Mini Cleaning Soap for Cosmetic Brushes, 0.5 Pound

Amazing product. I'd been using the BeautyBlender Solid Cleanser for years, despite how over priced it was and how it always managed to disappear after very few uses (I even exclusively bought the Pro size), I couldn't find anything that worked anywhere near as well, so I just sucked it up and bought it regularly. Sephora was regularly sold out of this product and would be for weeks at a time, so with that on top of the cost, and I had finally had enough and ended up looking around on here for similar types of cleansers and ended up buying quite a few, using them all up to give each product a fair shot. I was about to give up and just go back to BB Solid, but saw this one and decided to give it one last try.Well, I'm never going back now. This product is a fraction of the price, you get more (depending on size chosen), it cleans faster and more thoroughly (this is especially true with foundation brushes, which are the most difficult to clean), and I even prefer the fragrance. BB Solid has a lavender scent that faintly sticks to the brushes after washing, whereas the Da Vinci has a slightly stronger, clean, orange scent that lingers on the brushes about the same amount.This formula is also more concentrated and cleans with less product and fewer "passes" through the rinse and reapply cycle that's required for foundation brushes. Because of this, I'm also able to clean my brushes in nearly half the time because I don't need to go back over stubborn brushes repeatedly.As for the packaging, it comes in a metal tin with a foam insert (not plastic anymore), which I've included pictures of, as well as the two sizes of the Da Vinci cleansers side-by-side to see the size difference. I've had no issues with rusting, but I always set the soap out on a towel, along with the tin packaging, rinsed out and placed upside down to dry completely before storing it again. Overall, I can't say enough positive thing about this product and I won't be buying anything else for a long time.

This worked VERY well and cleaned my brushes just as well as the more pricey solid brush cleaners. It also left my brushes nice and conditioned. I knocked off a star due to the packaging. I had to remove the thin plastic liner as it was trapping water between the tin and the liner, causing it to rust. After you remove the plastic liner and once you are done cleaning your brushes -rinse the container and the soap bar very well, turn container upside down, and lay the cleansing bar on top to fully dry.

After watching videos on youtube from makeup artists on the best way to clean, disinfect and keep your brushes lasting for many years, this was the #1 product recommended. Used it today on all my makeup brushes and I couldn't believe how much build up this soap removed. Was very easy to use, and left my brushes back to their original softness from when I first bought them. The soap smells really good too. Highly recommend this soap and the price is great. Will last me a long time.

This brush soap works wonders. It gets my brushes and beauty blenders super clean. It also smells nice and has a nice lather. My only critique is I wish it didn’t come in a tin can. It’s hard to get the soap out at first and it can get messy. The can will also rust after a while. Love the soap though, but not so much the packaging.

So far, I am loving this product. I clean my brushes after each use and they are holding up great. I have had this for a couple of months so I feel that I have used it long enough to know if it was going to ruin my expensive brushes. Prior to this, I used the cleaner from the MAC counter. I do like that cleaner, but I felt I needed to use it very sparingly as it was expensive and didn't last very long. I keep this tin on my counter and with a little water, I put my brush on the soap, swirl, then rinse. I rinse the soap every day also and I don't feel like it is meting away. I will but this again, in fact, I think I should buy a back-up now.

I use this soap to clean my  Sigma Makeup 12pcs. Professional Brush Set . The soap works well and comes in a convenient tin.I'm not sure what ingredients the soap has, but it smells mildly and pleasantly of citrus. It works equally well on water- and oil-based makeup, and keeps my brushes clean and conditioned.The only thing stopping me giving it five stars is that the tin tends to rust around the lip where the metal isn't polished/coated. I've occasionally grabbed a rust flake or two with my brush when in a hurry, and then had to spend a few extra minutes making sure I've rinsed them all out.The soap itself is great, but the tin - not as much.

The product can is super small and not every brush can fit it. Additionally, soap os not fully distributed inside the can, so it falling out of it and makes the whole process messy. Small soap piece literally jumps out of can all the time

I won't buy this again. The tin is hard to open, and once I do get it open I immediately sneeze because a big puff of powder comes out and inevitably lands on my shirt. The smell is not very nice either.

Dies ist mal wieder eines dieser Produkte: Obwohl in ähnlicher Zusammensetzung längst am Markt etabliert, haben sich ausgefuchste Marketingmenschen ein Nischenprodukt mit neuem Namen und Label daraus gebastelt und verlangen dafür ordentlich Geld. Ich habe diese Seife im Angebot des Tages für 5,39€ mitgenommen, kannte weder Marke noch Produkt und hatte mich von den vielen positiven Rezensionen blenden lassen.Die Reinigungsleistung ist ausgezeichnet, daran ist nichts auszusetzen. Doch 40 Gramm Produkt sind wirkich klein, der Durchmesser der Seife beträgt etwa 6 cm. Dies würde nicht weiter stören, wäre sie ergiebiger. Sie nutzt sich ebenso schnell ab wie gewöhnliche Seife. Die Parfümierung ist sehr stark. Zitronen-"Duft" ähnlich wie manch Badreinigungsmittel, der nach dem Auswaschen jedoch nicht in den Pinseln oder Blendern hängen bleibt. Mir ist nicht klar wofür so ein Produkt unbedingt Parfüm benötigt, empfindlichen Menschen möchte ich davon abraten.Ich habe schon diverse Pinselreiniger ausprobiert, von günstig bis teuer. Wem die Reinigung mit einem Seifenstück liegt, dem empfehle ich Kernseife. Denn dieses Produkt ist nichts anderes, vergleicht man die Inhaltsstoffe. Kernseife ist sowohl mit als auch ohne Parfüm sehr günstig in der Drogerie zu bekommen. So werde ich es in Zukunft machen, da ich von der Reinigungsleistung überzeugt bin.

Looks like old tiny soap you get in cheap hotels, in the most miniature soap holder I have ever seen. I am actually not sure how one would use it it with bigger brushes. Seems only suitable for my niece's dollhouse. Attrocious value for money, read zero.

I have been using this for awhile now, and it is the best make-up brush cleaner I have ever used - and trust me, I have tried many types and formulas in the past! Highly recommend.

Having never cleaned my brushes before I found this product amazing, in 10 minutes all my brushes were clean and looking like new, even my very old but favourite brush, I’ll definitely be cleaning them every 2-3 weeks with this product as recommended and buying it again!

Smaller than what I was expecting, but it will last. Great little product. Would recommend.
