Lonka Vanilla Fudge 2 Kg

This really is great fudge, and I am literally eating some of it whilst I write this review...The fudge itself is substantial and dense (you can sink your teeth in to it and it ''satisfies''). The Vanilla flavour is prominent, with NO unpleasant waxy aftertaste. The texture is deep and chewy, exactly as one would expect good fudge to be.Let me assure you, that if you are sceptical as to how such a large box of fudge could be of good quality (given the low price), I can assure you, that you will not be disappointed here. This is not cheap, crumbly, waxy fudge, its the real deal... and the moment you remove the lid from the box... Ahh, that smell... it hits you right out of the box. It practically sings to you, ''try a piece of me''.2Kg of fudge is a lot, and you might think to yourself, "what on earth do I want all of that for?'' But ask yourself, do you honestly enjoy paying inflated prices for little packets of fudge from your local store? I think not. Personally, I divided the whole box between four people, giving each person 500g of fudge each... a very sizable and generous portion which is likely to last for a while.Conclusion: Good quality fudge at a low price... enough for the whole family, and then some!

Although I like the fudge I was upset to find a piece of plastic in one piece. It looked like the corner off something. I was able to find it before I swallowed it. Dread to think what might have happened to one of my little ones.

Previously purchased in the same 2Kg size at around Xmas 2017 by another family member and then found to be precisely to taste in terms of colour, flavour and texture as was a smaller bagged pack personally purchased some months previously. A small proportion of the last box was bagged soon after receipt with the intention to gift it with something else but circumstances changed and it was never gifted. Only recently rediscovered, it was still relatively fresh and of excellent texture and flavour.Although several reviewers had claimed there to be significant, and usually negative, batch-to-batch variation in the product nothing major has yet been recognised. There are small variations in flavour, for example more or less vanilla in a batch or a variation in graininess but none has yet found to be wholly unacceptable.Of several brands of fudge purchased from Amazon, this is probably the most consistent and has the best flavour, colour and texture compared with every other. It also offers the very best value.

I recieved my box with the seal broken which deterred me from eating the contents, as I am quite fussy with seals and would prefer them to be untouched. I was sent another box free of charge and the seal was partially broken again, but I just accepted it and tried a piece. The fudge is good, not the finest quality though. Quite waxxy in texture but makes up for that in flavour, a lovely fudge taste with a slightly strange aftertaste, but this doesn't bother me as the price is great for such a large box!

Regardless of what brand of fudge you buy, they all taste the same. Extortionate fudge for £25/kilo, or £5/kilo, they're the same. Its not a recipe with an abundance of ingredients, so other than texture, its impossible to differentiate.Box is fine; people with broken boxes, thats probably on the courier not the supplier. I can actually see myself using this in a cake, much like a thin fondant you can roll into a sheet. Great stuff. Unbeatable really.

The fudge taste's good, no waxy aftertaste like some of the reviews are saying, also the box was not sealed, which it really should have been, this seems to be a common accourence on these reviews saying its not sealed, its slightly off putting but i'm still going to eat them because i'm stupid and hungry hahaEDIT: So it's been a few days now and I've eaten slot of these and I'm still alive so that's good.

Bought the fudge based on the reviews. Fudge can either be too sickly or too strange tasting, I know what I mean. I used to buy fudge from Woolworths on a Saturday morning and I loved it. This fudge is very similar to that and gives me warm memories from that point of view of my childhood. Just three cubes a day is just right, but still it went far too quickly. I would certainly recommend trying it at least and I am very fussy about fudge, but I say I certainly will be buying more of it.

I absolutely love this fudge.I'd had some in a pick and mix once and wanted to try and find it in larger quantities.It's quite a chewy fudge and is really tasty.

Fantastic!!!!.. As soon as I opened the box I was hit by the smell of a childhood memory spending pocket money on a quarter of fudge. Peeling back the lid i took a piece popping it into my mouth, I wasn't disappointed and neither will you be. It's certainly not the usual gritty, melt in your mouth fudge that you get these days. This is silky, rich, creamy vanilla fudge, that lasts long enough to savour.If you don't believe me, just try some yourself

I really do enjoy this fudge as do most of my visitors sadly! Ok it's not the traditional clotted cream fudge but you get what you pay for and this is yummy fudge for me.

Really lovely fudge, if you're a fudge lover like me. I also bought the Rum & Raisin one as I like to mix the two. Just a problem with a cracked container during transit but no damage to my fudge. This will last me for quite a while but I'll be placing another order when I finally finish it all. No hesitation in giving 5 stars. Delicious! and delivered right to my door. Many thanks Amazon.

Box arrived with a crack in the corner, making it difficult to store. Which is a particular shame for me as I was buying it to take abroad and share with friends and colleagues.Would have otherwise been perfect.

Having not had a chance to eat them since they arrived I will give these a 5 star. I suspect the munchkins are to blame but they both deny all knowledge of curtly opening the box, then demolishing the entire 2kg tub in the space of a few days. I also suspect Smudge the dog along with some of their school friends given extreme bouts of hyperactivity and happy faces, but have no hard evidence to backup my claims. They're gone... just... gone! 😩

I needed bulk buy sweets for a wedding pic and mix table. These fudge pieces are smooth and sweet. My husband prefers crumbly fudge but has had no problem eating these pieces! This fudge is perfect for anyone who likes the smooth variety. An unexpected bonus is that the plastic container is robust and will serve us well after the fudge has been devoured.
