Excellent little book getting me on the road to pension self-management
It's been a couple of years since I bought this book, the first of about 7 books on pensions and more specifically investing. Since buying and consuming the author's sage advice and knowledge I have consolidated four pensions into a self-invested personal pension (SIPP) and now manage my investments within the SIPP wrapper. Prior to doing this I had very little visibility of exactly what my money was invested in and was paying anything north of 1% commission, which compounds into a significant amount of money, drip-feeding out of my fairly small investments, over the last several decades. This is a good starting book, hand-holding me as I wobble around a bit before progressing into more meaty tomes. Recommended and thanks for reading this far.

Nice explanation about things and examples
Very informative little guide explaining Sipp's. I appreciated this greatly at the time of reading. Nice explanation about things and examples. Also sympathetic to those starting late ...

Good basic introduction
Well written good basic introduction. Although I would have liked some more practical examples of how to set up a DIY passive fund as a SIP and how the tax credits work.

Not a bad effort, but leaves to many gaps
While it gave an overview it did not come down convincingly for a DIY pension, which is what the book was promoting?

Informative
It's an informative little book. The only thing I didn't like is that I felt the author was trying to publicize some SIPP providers.
