sofsy Italian Rip-Resistant 40 Den Opaque Tights for Women

The best stockings I've ever bought. They are thick and last longer than any I've ever bought. Warm. Easy to put on and fit me perfect.

These tights are an absolute dream! Soft, opaque, and surprisingly stretchy—they fit like they were made just for me. The high-waist design is flattering and comfortable, and the solid color goes with literally everything. Italian craftsmanship really shows—durable, smooth, and so easy to wear all day. Totally obsessed and already planning to grab more colors!

I was worried that these would be too tight in the waist, but after reviewing the answers to my question, I chose the size 4(L) in Indigo and Natural. I am 5' 6.5" tall and they fit me perfectly and have plenty of stretch in the waist so are not too tight at all. Haven't had them long enough to judge their longevity, but if they last well I will update this post. They are nice and soft with a matte finish. There is a very slight sheen to them if you get in the right light, but for the most part they are matte finish. These are not seamless. They do have a seam across the toes and up the front and back in the crotch area, but they are soft. Like other tights of this type the indigo pair kind of changes colors and opacity depending on the light and how tightly they are stretched over your skin. I have seen other asking about compression. I don't see where these mention they should be compression type. They don't seem to be and that is not what I wanted anyway, so they are fine to me. I am updating my review to take away a star... Although overall they look OK, they do have flaws in the finish that bother me. In some colors it is easier to see than others. You can see it in my photos if you look closely... There are variations in the color (stripes) that show up in certain lighting conditions. The blue color showed it more than the natural, but they are there. The blue ones I purchased also had a small hole right by the sewing in the crotch area that ripped the second time I wore them, so they do have some issues. 2ND UPDATE: After my last review, I was contacted by the Sofsy vendor who were very nice and helpful about my review. They shipped out a new pair of the tan tights that I requested and they are perfect. I added three more photos. I can find no imperfections in this pair and am very pleased with the support I was given. I have to add again that I really like the Sofsy waistband because it is not so tight. I added back a star for the great customer support and the fact that the replacement tights seem perfect. Great job... Thanks! 3RD Update: Just a sizing note... I am 5' 6" tall and weigh around 140 pounds. I have decided that the Medium size is perfect for me. They have a nice stretch and the large will do, but it is just a little loose. The Medium is better.

I love these tights! Honestly, they’re made of really great material. Inside, they have a wool-like fabric that keeps you warm. I honestly don’t feel cold at all.I would definitely buy them again, just in another color. I’ve had them for quite a long time, so they have really great quality, because they haven’t deteriorated at all.

These are awesome! I have some scarring on my legs and self-conscious about it, and it can be seen through sheer stockings/tights. The opacity of these tights is enough to cover scarring, and they don't look like "grandma" hose. Plus they feel great! The tights have a lovely sheen to them, which was something I was looking for. That's something difficult to find in a pair of hose/tights with a denier above 20. The material is good quality and doesn't run just from putting them on. I bought two different pairs (Natural & Black) and both were accurately depicted in the product photos. I was especially pleased with the "Natural" pair; my skin tone is very fair with pink undertones and these tights didn't look too dark or orange-ish on. The sizing was PERFECT. These don't have a control top (awesome!) and are comfortable to wear, and they don't cut in like other brands. At first I thought they looked too small, but they have some kind of stretchy-yet-not-saggy voodoo magic. I definitely plan on ordering more! For reference: I am 5'4", 170lbs, measuring 45-32-45 and ordered a size 5/XL.

I bought these tights for a cosplay which I thought looked perfect. The fit was also great, I got a medium and they fit perfectly. The only thing I did with these tights on was walk around for like 3 hours. No jumping, running, dancing, exercising or stretching, just walking. I get home and when I take them off, I notice that there is a huge rip in the rear area. I did not even feel that rip happen. It was really disappointing because I expected much more durability for the price. Unfortunately will not be buying again. I've also tried multiple times to attach a photo of the rip, but it is not letting me upload it here.

Good quality but not as good as hyped. Lasted long enough to be outside return window. I recommend getting cheaper one and replace if damaged

These tights are very soft and very comfortable. They seem durable. It is common for me to put a hole in my pantyhose when putting them on, so when a pair makes it through that phase, I am already pleased. I wore these all day to a conference where I was dressed formally (i.e., uncomfortably). I didn't even think about them or notice I was wearing them, which I usually do when wearing tights or hose. They didn't pull or run. They are more sheer than the 40 denier would suggest. I recommend them and would buy them again. They were a little bit long for me, and I followed the sizing on the chart. I fall into the short end of the sizing blocks. But they did not bunch up at my ankles. There was a little bunching at the inner hip joint, but because they are so soft and comfortable, I couldn't feel it.

Beautiful bright colour, thick material so you don't have to worry about it easily snagging. They are a bit big on me, but that's much preferable to being too small. I received lots of compliments on these tights.

Bought these for a Halloween costume. They came out of package with dark spots/discoloring all over them. Would not buy again because of staining.

I ordered Forest Green, size Large, and they fit beautifully on my longish legs. I'm male, 5'9", 165 pounds; waist 35-37". The 40 denier is a bit hard to believe, but then, technology changes. These are really gorgeous pantyhose, and I would never call them "opaque tights". They feel very very soft; unusually so; and they are a pleasure to wear. They come up nice and high on my waist, as well. But they are pantyhose. In Britain and other places, "tights" are what North Americans call "pantyhose"—but please read on. So, if you want to be sure to keep them in perfect condition, or if your hands are a bit dry in wintertime, when you slip these up your legs, a little trick is to just dab a smidgen of aloe creme on your fingers—hardly any—and this smidgen of moisture will save your fingers from "fighting" the delicate fabric. Once the pantyhose are on, I think they will be reasonably okay; as much as pantyhose ever is, to resist minor snaggers. Someone asked for photos, and my "forest green" may surprise you in seeming to be without any colour at all. In my hands, they are decidedly a pretty medium green. But the photos show them seemingly without colour—just like pantyhose. So, consider the "forest green"—when worn on your bare legs—to be just a shadow, or a delicate, tentative hint of green; little beyond that. And you also see how obviously my black panties show through them: so much for opaque! But I felt fine with that, because I intended to wear my new pantyhose/tites as a second surface over natural dark spandex tites. Often I wear two pairs of pantyhose when it's cold out, and I thought this would be ideal for my walks in the forest. Now comes the surprise! When I slipped the forest green Sofsies OVER black spandex tites, suddenly the Sofsy tites were exactly the pretty green colour that they were NOT when worn by themselves over my bare legs! I could hardly believe it! So: these Sofsy tites rate A+ by me. Really superb. I'm ordering more.
