Tack, Moulding Lifter Mini Crowbar Carpet Flooring Tool

So easy to use

We recently moved home and are having to replace all the carpets. Unfortunately, it looks like the carpet grippers were last replaced around the time the dinosaurs roamed the earth and so they needed to come out too.We have a crowbar but it was way too big to get under the wooden strips which appeared to be welded to the floor.I'm a disabled woman with not a lot of strength so I knew I had to buy something that would make my job easier.I did a lot of research and decided to give this a go and I'm so glad I did.It's still a tough job but it became 90% easier than using the big crowbar. I used the old crowbar as a fulcrum to give myself a little extra strength and it worked really well.I also found that it removes the old tacks stuck in the floor like butter. I had been using my claw hammer, but this worked so much better.It's made very well with no unexpected sharp edges and it's nice and easy to hold.

A very handy item. Since it's tiny, polished and plated it seems a little toy-like compared with the man-sized kind but perfect for DIY work like lifting and adjusting skirting boards without leaving black marks on decorations and leaving huge scars, dents, divots in everything inside a three foot radius. If I have to do the same job again (re-fitting hardboard over ancient floorboards prior to re-carpeting) I'll probably invest in the 'silverline' polished and plated bolster from the same vendor.

I wondered if this would be good as it was so cheap but the reviews seemed to say so. We had loads of carpet gripper rods to get up. I can’t tell you how chuffed we were with this - made the job easy and I highly recommend this for the job. The other end made easy work of the embedded nails. Marvellous and a total bargain!!!

This is a great piece of extra and useful kit to keep in the toolbox. Really saves using chisels for things that they really shouldn’t be used for. One small improvement could be to have a slightly wider gap on the nail lifter as it’s a bit slim. I can use the claw hammer instead but it would be nice if it was just one tool.

This lifter is all I’ve ever used since I started fitting in the late 80s only just replaced my last one as it seems to of vanished from my kit box ,Great for uplifting door bars gripper etc on domestic jobs/work.

I have used this mini crowbar to remove old carpet holders in my room. Well made, works well, what else you may expect :) it’s a crowbar. Great product, great price.

This is a very sturdy tool and was perfect for removing carpet grippers and nails. Came quickly and easily stores in the standard toolbox.
