It's refreshing (pun intended) having a product that is designed perfectly in every respect. Easy to use. Easy to fill. Powerful. Looks great. Rugged, giving the impression it will last for years. Highly recommended

Feels like I've just been to the dentist
This is my fourth water flosser that ive owned in the last 5 years, the others being handheld rechargeables, this is my first plugin flosser. How this compares to the other handheld's. This whitening Waterpik holds more water than any handheld I've owned, its the most powerful I've used so far but its also the most noisy and the most expensive. The 100 psi is probably very accurate and correct, I recently used another flosser that claimed to also be 100 psi but was nowhere near as powerful as this, probably half the power so I am glad I changed my mind and bought this instead. I am not disappointed at all with the power of this waterpik, its very powerful and I use the highest setting, it really does give you that 'just back from the dentist' feeling. This is powerful enough to make your gums bleed until you get used to it, but don't let that put you off buying one because this is very normal reaction if you're new to flossing and your gums do get used to it. You can also turn the pressure down easily if you want, you don't need to use the maximum setting that I do. I have braces on my teeth so I cannot easily slide any flosser around my mouth as is suggested in the Waterpik's instructions and demo video's that are online, so I use the slider on the handle to turn it on and off a lot as I move it around my mouth. The on/off slider does work well, its just a little bit on the stiff side. Handheld flossers have a button that is much easier to use than a slider, and Ive had to use two hands on this handle already to getting it to work a couple of times when my hands got slippy and I couldn't move it with one hand. The grip and size of the handle are fine to hold and use I have no problems with that, its just constantly sliding the on/off that is a bit tricky sometimes. The water tube from the main unit to the handle is a bit short I feel. I have to put the unit of the left side of me and I am right handed so the tubing is extended quite a lot when I use it, this is due to the layout of my bathroom of course but its something I hadnt really thought of. Due to me having to extend the tubing a lot the curled up coil shape that is needed to store the tube inside the unit is not that springy I feel and after just a few uses I am already having to help the tubing back into shape, how long will it cope with this before it becomes a tangled mess I'm not sure. The other reason why I also must extended the tube as I do is again because I have braces. The video's and instructions say put the tip in your mouth hold your head over sink and then switch it on letting the water run out of your mouth. You really cannot do this when you have braces because you need to look in the mirror not the sink, you need to see what you're doing so you dont have a choice in this. You cannot use the ortho tips blindly either with braces, again you need to look in the mirror not the sink. The layout of your bathroom i.e. plug, mirror and also how tall you are are things to really consider with a plugin Waterpik with a handheld you have more flexibility. There is no power cord storage on the main unit. I put mine in the cupboard after each use, I dont have space to leave it out so the mains cord is just left a mess in the cupboard around the unit. This isn't a problem its just for £100 I would of liked this to be considered and they havent. I wouldn't really call this travel size either. Handhelds are easier to pack in a case as they're long and thinner when comparing them by size and shape. I've only had this a few days so will update in the future when I review the 'Whitening' feature. I do hope this feature works and I havent wasted the extra money on a gimmick. Time will tell I guess. I've had braces now much longer than was planned because the pandemic slowed everything down and I have noticed a bit of staining behind the wires so that's why I purchase this machine specifically to help with this. I will update this when ive given it a true test regarding this. So far I am happy with my purchase, I know its not perfect for my bathroom layout but as long as teeth are cleaner and feel clean and hopefully 'whiter' then I'll continue to be happy. I shall update at a later date.

Great waterpik for cleaner teeth and mouth
An excellent product. It sits in the side of my bathroom sink and I should probably use it more often than I do but whenever I do use it is does a great job of getting bits of food out from between my teeth. It also leaves gums feeling clean. I sometimes add half a cap of listerine into the water so it also freshens the mouth too. Bought it a few years back and it’s still going strong!

The best oral hygiene product I have ever owned
I took delivery of this on 6th November 2020 following a check up with my dentist. At my last visit to my hygienist in early 2020 she was unhappy with my oral hygiene and put me on a three monthly return. I brush with a normal toothbrush and toothpaste, then follow up with an electric toothbrush. So I am quite thorough, but my problem has always been flossing. I have tried everything including floss, floss sticks and those different size interdentals. The problem I have is the gaps between my teeth go from very, very tight in several places to quite wide in others. When using interdentals I need at least three different sizes. To be honest the whole routine was so trying I never really got into the habit, hence all the troubles with my hygienist. The visits were very painful - both for the earbashing I got, and the removal of the plaque. Hence the 3 months and the naughty step. When I visited my dentist for a check up in November she noticed the same problem and when I told her it was flossing she suggested a water flosser. So I ordered the Water-Pik and tried it. I bought the stand mount with separate handgrip for two reasons. I didn’t want to keep filling the reservoir whilst flossing, and I didn’t want to hold a heavy flosser in my hand whilst flossing. OK, so this is no use for travelling, but it’s great at home. I found it a delight to use. So much that I look forward to using it. I set myself the goal of using it every single night before I go to bed and despite some close calls I have achieved that so far. (If I miss one I’ll catch up in the morning.) The reservoir is large enough for me to do my whole mouth in one setting, and the handgrip is light and very easy to direct. So my purchase logic was correct. I also enjoy the feeling. Every night I floss I can see between two and five visible food particles dislodged. I am sure there are many more smaller particles I can’t see. Since I floss after brushing my teeth (both manual and electric) I can see that brushing isn’t removing those particles. Imagine how many would build up over a six month period. Anyway, to the point of the story, yesterday I went back for my dental check up and hygienist appointment. As usual I was dreading the usual earbashing. To my intense surprise both my dentist said my mouth was I perfect condition. Healthy gums, no plaque, nothing between the teeth. In dental speak, if you know this, I got 0s for everything. This has never happened before. My hygienist asked me how this happened and I told her about the water flosser. The dentist wasn’t very surprised as she has seen me a few times in between. Anyway, in summary, if your challenges are similar to mine, I can’t recommend this product highly enough. I confirm this is a genuine private review. I’m posting such a lengthy review to help people who may have similar oral hygiene problems to mine. P.S. my wife also uses it but she has always been a good flosser so never had my challenges.

The best Christmas present I could have asked for.
I was looking for something to replace plastic floss... And then found this! The Waterpik is one of those products people often assume is a gimmick, until they actually use it. It's very effective and he adjustable pressure settings make it easy to start gentle and increase as needed, which is great for sensitive gums. It’s simple to use once you get the hang of it, and the large water reservoir allows for a full flossing session without constant refilling. It does take up some counter space (or you can keep it in a drawer like I do) and makes a bit of noise, but neither is a deal-breaker. I personally love it, and my husband—who was convinced it was just a gimmick—is very impressed as well. After only a couple of uses, he’s already noticed his plaque looks significantly better. Overall, it’s a practical and effective upgrade to brushing that makes flossing easier and more consistent.

Does the job but the design has to be improved
It works good but after a year or so of usage, it simply stops working. Maybe they should look at making it more robust? Just a thought...
