A love/hate relationship with these connectors.
These JST connector/sockets are a really nice was of providing interconnect between parts in an electronics project. My current project uses 2 different JST connectors, one is a 2 pin connector for a battery and the other is a 8 way connector to a display. These are really nice connectors, the quality is fantastic, but....I hate making the cables, the pins are really fiddly to crimp. I originally used the engineer pa-09 crimping tool which seemed to be the tool everybody uses, but it's fiddly to use and sometimes the crimp fails.I have just discovered the IWISS 3220M crimping tool which is an order of magnitude better and doesn't exhibit the failed sleeve crimp problems that occasionally happen with the engineer tool. With the right tool, these are just about bearable to make, if you don't have the right tool, you are in for a world of pain.I've included a picture of a number of cables I crimped with parts from this kit.

Cannot wholly recommend as the wires/tags will not stay connected
I brought this as I needed extra JST plugs for a project. I'd used 30-40 four pin ones already and needed more.I brought this thinking that all JST sets are the same. Sadly I was wrong.Every single wire connection I have made with this new set of JST sockets has failed, the metal connector has stayed seated in the socket and the wire has come out. Every single wire connection I made with the previous JST set has worked and stayed seated. Same wire, same tools.Whether there is a slight discrepancy with the metal connectors is impossible to determine. The tolerances on these are very fine when used with the crimping tool. 0.1mm to 0.2mm is enough (I suspect) to stop things working. I did note that the distance between the tiny tongue that keeps the wires in the socket and the actual metal strip they are stamped out of is a fraction shorter than the older ones I had. That might be enough.I now have to go back, dismantle the controller boards so I can extract the sockets. The metal connectors are going in the bin as I have wasted too much time. I will use my existing connectors and the new plastic sockets as they look OK.You may have better luck than me, I'm going to try a different set of connectors.

Great value connectors
Great little connectors, using them to wire up the fans on my 3D printer. Glad there are so many in the box as it took a few go to get them to work properly. Once I mastered the technique they're easy to use. If you plan on using a lot of these get the proper crimping tool. You can do it with pliers but it's a little awkward.

Work very well for various Ender 3 upgrades (fans, switches)
I use these for many upgrades of my Ender 3 printers. They work very well and quality is very good. No complaints whatsoever.

Buy it :D
I have used one, it was bit difficult to put together. Also, i am new to this, so if you have more experience then buy it it is worth the money.I will get it after few try's and 4 stars, because of no instructions, for noobs like me.BUT don't get me wrong it is worth of the money!

Just the job
Good value for the money. I think these will last a lifetime. I used these to make adaptors for my Geeetech i3 3D printer. I can now use standard fans with Molex style plugs on. No doubt I will find other uses for them.
