Things that pop out to me that are different to other tools I own.Drill rips through most material effortlessly.Batteries lasts me a long long time.Impact driver speed setting 1 for delicate jobs really does work.One handed chuck action for impact driver.LED lights are fantastic and the spot light feature on the drill is being used most jobs I have in attics and outbuildings.Carry case is a great addon - although one pain I find is you cannot store the drill in the case with its battery attached. Not worth a rating reduction though as the rest of the features are just brilliant.Carry case has handles on each side, so you can carry/lift box from any which angle.Carry case has two close-able boxes so good for bits and screws.Highly recommend.

Frankly, it took me over 2 weeks to research for the best drill to buy, after my DIY got stagnated by a drill i bought from the boot market. This is by far the best drill i have used so far. I will recommend same to anyone. Don't be discouraged by the price, its worth it. My only challenge was that the box was too big for comfort. There is literally no space in it for any other item apart from a couple of screw and bolts in an upper compartment. My advise to Dewalt it to either make the box a little bit smaller or make available spaces to include more tools in the box. Too much space for no reason

Brilliant drill. Very powerful and does alexactly what I want them to do. Battery life is great. Was on site the other day and my friend has Milwaukee drills and his drills wasnt man enough to do the job but these done it with ease

DCD996 XR combi drill and DCF887 XR impact wrench are absolutely worth every single penny.Over the last 3 years I've been heavily abusing both during loft conversion, garage conversion, countless DIY projects and IKEA furniture.When drill is equipped with the right bit, it'll go through anything, including hard metals or thick external walls.These aren't cheap, but worth every single penny for the amount of time end effort saved.

Brushless is the best making drilling easier and the 5Ah battery last much longer than my previous drill where I was having to rotate three batteries for much worse performance.
