I attached this to my freeze proof hose bib to split the irrigation to two different areas. The first thing I noted was the construction of the unit. The cast aluminum makes the threads susceptible to cross threading, be very careful attaching the hose. The housing for the bib itself is a hard plastic composite that also could be a thread problem if attention to threading is not followed. Once set up it works perfectly, NO LEAKING, others had issues, I did not. The valves are easy to turn off and on, something you don’t often see. I will order another for the back lot.

Best water splitter I have used

Got this to split my post-filtered water out to a garden hose, normally used to rinse off cars and other outdoor things. After initial installation, the splitter leaked on the plug where the split happens in the middle of the body. I tightened this with a needle nose plier, but was not expecting this to leak right out of the box. Leak was small but still there. The single female hose connection also leaked out of the box. Ironically, when I tightened it more with a set of channel locks, it actually leaked more. Found the right spot so it didn't leak.Overall this is a nice piece. Cast aluminum I think. It is a nice design and arrangement, allowing 1 to 2 hoses in a straight line vs other that usually split to angled outputs. The shutoff valves work nicely to shot off the flow. Easy to operate and smooth, which is important.I probably won't put this through much hard use as it's located in the garage that is pretty well climate controlled, so your application may be different.

Yes it's made of metal but the plastic collar broke off with simple hand tightening rending it useless. A waste of money.

I installed a 4-way splitter last year and my water pressure decreased. I thought it was because my outdoor faucet was leaking, until I got this full flow 2 way splitter this year. The water pressure is back to the way it was before I needed to install a splitter because of the drip irrigation.
