The press does the job as intended, quickly and easily.
So far so good. The burgers at 100g meat are a bit thin, but good at 125/130g meat. More than that and it is difficult to get a good press as it splurges out between the sides and top. My hand made burgers are usually smaller and thicker, I find they stay juicier that way.I wasn't expecting ribbed faces to the metal, I would have preferred a plain face, but it's ok, My little fella loves the ribbed burgers. I have reused the wax discs to make several burgers before they fail. I haven't tried it without the discs, I suspect it may be tricky to get the burgers out without them. Useful to layer the discs for freezing. It is easy enough to wash, though I am careful to not soak the wooden handle as the paint will come off. The screw was fiddly to engage and drive deep enough to the press as there is not much exposed threaded section, but it is fine if you persevere. I presume the screw head was pulled into the wood a bit as it did tighten up further than I was expecting given the initial length of exposed thread. There was a moment I thought the thread was stripped as it kept on screwing but I did achieve a good secure connection. I won;t be taking the handle off again so can't store the press in its original box as I had hoped to protect the non stick coating. All in all I am pleased.with this gadget, glad I bought it.

perfect for 180G (6oz) burgers
after trial and error i decided to use kitchen roll in the cavity before pressing. 180g is about the largest amount of burger mix you can get in. after pressing just lift the towel out and flip over...simple as that. These are 4 1/2" x 1/2" burgers suitable for big lads like me !!1Kg asda 5% mince..300g diced onions..2 eggs...2 tspn very lazy chopped garlic..2tbsp worcestershire sauce,,,,makes8 x 6oz burgers and they taste wonderful done in a george foreman grill 4 mins then flip and another 4 mins...enjoy

Perfect burgers!
I made my first ever home-made burgers for a BBQ this weekend - only after devouring them did I tell my family that they were home-made and they were surprised as they thought they were shop-bought because they were so perfect! Easy to use - the baking parchment discs help by placing one beneath the patty before using the press so that they are easy to remove. Definitely keep the patties in the fridge for a couple of hours before cooking as it helps them to set. I think this is a great little gadget - really pleased about my purchase.

You'll never buy 'shop' ones again....
Well made and dead easy to use. The papers are a bonus, got several burger recipes off the tinter web, and bosh, burgers!! Top tip, make them the night before you need them, and stick them in the fridge, they hold together better on the grill. Right.....crack on.
