Set of 6 Kilner 0.25L Screw Top Preserve Preserving Jam Chutney Glass Storage Jar

I've started to can things that I make, this is the perfect size to can chutney, jams, I love the size, the pack, the delivery speed. Excellent!

This are my go-to jars when preserving my garden harvest. They’re value for money, last a long time, sturdy, look nice when storing my chutneys and hold up well to performing a good job of sealing my produce in a canning water bath. They come with gold stainless steel lids and screw bands that are easily replace as they cannot be used again once used for pickling preserves in vinegar. I use these annually and would recommend them as Kilner jars are the best by far. They look great to give as presents with your very own homemade chutneys too. Also, these jars of 0.25L are a nice size for small quantities. The sealing lids are 7cm in diameter and the screw bands are 7.2cm in diameter if you need to purchase more which are available on Amazon too.

Received the jars i ordered. They were the jars listed and do what they should. Not sure what else can be said.

The product arrived the day it was supposed to do, all fine. I like the size of the jars which I bought to store my homemade green tomato and courgette chutney ( too much left over stuff from my garden!)However, nowhere at all in the description of the jars did it say that the lids came in two pieces! Just a screw top lid it is not! The central part of the lid is loose, the teeny weeny print on the paperwork when the jars arrived, described this as a vacuum lid. This bit goes on top of the jar first, followed by the screwtop bit. All well and good you may think, as did I. However, apparently the vaccuum lid thingymybob can only be used once! More can be purchased but it's such a pity this info wasn't offered at the outset as I wouldn't have purchased them. Not used yet as I'm not really sure how I should sterilise them ( rubber seal and boiling water!? )so my hopefully lovely chutney is still waiting in large jars, waiting for me to decant and hand out to unsuspecting family. I'm not sure this will happen using these jars, which may well be passed on to somebody who can be bothered with them!

These jars are excellent. Easy to clean and use. Have filled mine with home made chutney for gifts. Good value. Arrived promptly, very well packaged.
