The LEDs arrived on a small plastic roll with red and black wires on the end. The wires were great for the first installation and I used terminal blocks to connect to them. Every third LED there is a cutting marker so the ribbon can be cut to length give or take about 4cm. Every 60cm or so (estimated, can't remember exactly) there are solder blobs marked + and - that you can reattach a 12V DC cable to. When you do this, the LEDs on each side of the cable light, so if you had to cut before the connection point they aren't wasted. They are a bright daylight white, I don't need a high CRI rating I'm not using them for photography just in my motorhome. They look as described to the naked eye. I replaced a 16W fluorescent fitting which was dim with about 1m of these, it's way brighter than the original fixture and uses just 3W. I also installed in the rear garage of the motorhome, just a 1m strip at one side is suffice to illuminate the large space at night. In the rear is 3M tape. Beware of cheaper brands offering poor quality tape that doesn't stick... I bought and returned one! This is very sticky and easily holds itself even when installed upside down. No problem though as when I tested it I was surprised at how bright it was. Fitting was very easy as the sticky backing is easily enough to carry the weight of the fitting which is very light. Although you would certainly need 2 if you cut and split them into two separate illuminating items, unless you subsequently connected them in some fashion. **Q: Does the colour change or is it just white?** A: Just white, if u want multicoloured lights , type muti colour led RGB, LED light strip , normally come with remote control. **Q: I have 4 rolls of 5 m and i've just bought 1 plug. can i link them all together or do i have to buy another 3 plugs. this is confusing and inaccurate** A: You can only add them together using a connector you can buy on Amazon - I bought e.g. Mexllex L Shape 4-pin Connectors Angle Adjustable 90-180 Degrees LED Strip Connectors for 10mm Width 5050 RGB LED Strip Lights and you can buy straight connectors but make sure you keep the polarities the same when connecting - and if the driver (make sure you bought a constant voltage one, NOT a constant current driver) you have to work them, is powerful enough. Total the power of the three rolls and make sure the driver can cope with it.
