Simple and good value.
I was uncertain about the practicality of these bags, but they seem to work pretty well, and I definitely get a better result than I did without them.

Poachies forever
There is little better than poached eggs on a slice of fresh brown bread with an avocado bottom. This 100-pack of poachies allows you to make poached eggs on an industrial scale! And it’s a healthier alternative compared to frying. We’ve tried several ways of preparing poached eggs; cook them in hot water and vinegar, silicone cups – nothing really worked. These poachies, that could double as coffee filter bags, are not perfect but they get you somewhere.First of all the resulting poached egg remains a bit dense, as if lightly baked, and the result is a fairly small sized poached egg - even if you buy the most sizeable, premium eggs. So you'll still not get restaurant-quality poached egg on your plate. Secondly it remains a messy business, some egg white will spill as you pour the egg in the pouch, even when standing up opened up in a glass. And you’ll have to pull the water soaked sleeves with the poached egg out of the cooking water again. And in my opinion there is a, say 5% chance of failure; when a bag rips, tilts prematurely or if you place it in the water too slowly. So given thee issues I would rate with 4 stars only. But I take off 1 more for the price; At 10 pence per bag this is not a cheap solution (although you are reasonably sure of an acceptable and tasty result). And it’s all very straight forward, quick and easy. But given the price I'm tempted to poach an egg with an actual coffee filter bag that I can buy at less than 3 pence per bag.I should perhaps add that we tend to cook the eggs less than the suggested 6 minutes to keep them sufficiently gooey. We first tried a set of 20 pouches that we worked through fairly quickly. And now, with more guests expected and the holiday season coming up it seemed like a good idea to stock up so we bought the pack of 100.

Not eggstatic about the recent quality control!
Purchase a pack of 100 last year - zero issues! Every poachie bag worked a dream and no eggs fell through the bottom.Ordered a replacement pack last week and have just gone to use them this morning, 3 poachie bags in a row all split clean at the bottom when placing the cracked egg in, literally straight through! What’s happened to the quality? Reading recent reviews it seems others have had the same issue. Really disappointed as I’ve had a rubbish start to my day and have resorted to cereal after wasting 3 eggs in the process :/Will be asking for a refund for the rest of the pack. Gutted because it was so easy with the last pack to have some poached eggs in the morning.
