These things are awesome, I took the lights and ran them along my bookshelves and ceiling and they illuminate my models and books in an eerie atmospheric way. Being able to change the colour at will is very useful. They were easy to install too, anyone could figure out the simple plug and play layout.I purchased the 32 feet version, which means the lights come in two 5foot strips - so you can pick a socket to install them in and trail them outwards from there. The strip itself is black, which is much better for people who have dark shelves/walls as they show up less during the daylight.They're really bright and will substitute any boring lamps you might have. My only qualm is that the 'DIY' function on the remote control is not clearly laid out in the manual and is hard to understand, but after watching some youtube videos I figured out it just allows you to choose and save the colour you want by selecting how much red, blue, and green to save. It doesn't allow you to choose and patterns or functions other than a block colour.There are a few functions such as switching between colours, but you can't choose which colours nor how fast or slowly it happens. They're all predetermined and can't be changed. This might do for someone who doesn't mind flitting through literally all the colours of the rainbow, but I would have loved to set my lights to simply fluctuate between green and red and nothing else but that's not an option.Despite the lack of actual 'DIY' options, they look great when you keep them set to a particular colour, and it's given my living space a retro 80s/gentlemans' club feel. I can press a button to change it from red to green/blue/white/pink/purple/every colour imaginable, and select the brightness too. They're easy to turn on and off again at night.You can cut each 5m strip to size, but you can't fuse them together to be longer than 5m, at least not without some serious soldering skills. So only but the 32 feet version if two strips of 5m lights are good for you.The adhesive glue is alright but if you're installing them to hang from a ceiling/underneath a shelf they will probably fall off. I had to use some putty to hold them in place, as gravity wins over the adhesive strip.Overall I wish someone had told me about these before, as they look much cooler than normal lamps and are perfect for display if you have a lot of geeky crap or shelves.

The quality of this light strip is very good. This light strip is waterproof so it can be used outdoors. These are ideal to put under cabinets, on shelves or along the stairs. Power Supply provided is not sufficiently powerful, as per the description. It states a 3.3A power supply, but only a 3A unit is supplied. Painful returns to a local (4 mile away) Hermes drop-off location due to their mistakes and misleading description.

one strip arrived broken seller responded straight away sent replacement. leds are multi coloured and very bright you can set different patterns i got them on blue all the time behind tv cabinet you have to hide sensor as other remotes turn them off and on i think my light switch turned them on?.the only problem was the sticky back foam roll as you have to be precise where you want them dont take them off and on as i did it left behind the foam back i bought other foam back roll elsewhere.

For the most part they look and work great. I used two of them to go al the way around my room for some more soft lighting than the ceiling light. They are pretty sticky if you clean the surface well before hand but I still found that it needed se of the support brackets every so often. Only really problem I've had is that the red led is less powerful that the blue and green ones which o repower it on the white setting giving it a blueish green tint that's just noticible but a little annoying. Luckily you canake custom colours and just mix them appropriately with the remote

Excellent product, easy to install with no mess, good choice of colour options and the ability to dim the lights if required.Simple to extend the strip but would recommend using 4 pin connectors.Had a small issue with the remote not working correctly. Emailed the company and received a replacement in under 48hrs. Superb customer service.

Good product seems to have no noticeable brightness change as you go down the strip even when you connect both strips together. The one problem I had was when I used other IR remotes the lights would flicker or turn off and occasionally when a light switch was flipped I. The room on in the hallway next to the room they are mounted the strips would turn off no clue why.

Ridiculous short power lead. I have passed it outside through my kitchen window. Had to use a cumbersome extention lead which sits on window bottom. Good product spoiled by this penny pinching. Adhesion is totally absent in other words NONE at all.
