Bought 10 copies for my sales team
I bought this book on Kindle because I read that the author, Dave Cook, was a top salesperson at virtually every company he had ever worked at. By the time I was halfway through the book, I could see why. There are great, practical tips in here that virtually anyone can implement. I'm a natural salesperson and it comes easily to me, but I've learned in running my agency that not everyone we hire for our sales team is the same. Some people need practical strategies that they can study, learn, and implement, and this book delivers it. It made me realize that some of the things that come natural to really good salespeople are skills that not everyone is born with but they can certainly develop. And there are also strategies in here that I had never heard even heard of - like referring to the company as "they," so that you and your prospect are on the same side. Genius. I ordered 10 copies for my sales team and handed them out at the last sales meeting - they were literally fighting over who got to read them first. Excellent book!

Just read it.
I’m not a salesperson but a friend passed this book along to me because it said it helped his business. He’s a small business owner who does his share of sales. I started reading it because he’s a friend. But when I read this book I could only think of how I could sell anything. Being a marketer all of my life I have been afraid of the phone and direct response but this book almost makes me want to change my job title to sales. The author Dave breaks selling down to not only a science; but a personal level that made me want to go out and knock on some doors. If you’re reading this and you’re in sales or you strive to be then this is something to be read. The author has shown he’s done it; and I actually believe so can you, and so can I.

If you're someone looking for actionable sales insights - Choose this book. It's well worth the investment!!!!
Dave Cook has done a great job in diving into the essence of being a sales professional. This book is clearly written by someone who values action over platitudes. Every chapter focuses on one step or the other in terms of the overall value chain leading to a sale. Dave is also mindful of the intangible nature of the selling process. So many useful tidbits, building off behavioral insights, truly make you appreciate the complexity of the selling process while also appreciating the idea that the sales person can still control the narrative quite a bit. I read the whole book in one sitting. It was hard to put down the book. I recommend this book to not only seasoned sales professionals but also folks that work in business development roles, newbies to the sales profession or folks that encounter sales teams.

The book you’ve always been looking for is here!
Dear Dave,I have worked in sales for nearly 5 years and have heard and read many of the popular sales trainers and I want to tell you that your book is brilliant! I’ve read it multiple times since I’ve purchased it and believe it’s one of the most helpful and accessible sales books available. I think many sales trainers would say you’re giving too much information! I’ve literally spent thousands of dollars on books and audios over the years to get the “secrets” to sales success, but very few of those ever measured up to what they promised. The quality of information found in your book is rare. Thank you for writing it. I’m looking forward to the audiobook!Best,Mark
