good product - needs patience to do it
I remember doing these as a kid so I purchased them for my kids to do. These are so much fun to do. One thing...really put more in there than you think you need, we did three of them and almost all of them had spots where the plastic didn't fill out the form. The instructions tell you to mound the plastic up and you really do need to do it.My 7 yr old got a bit bored with his because of how tedious it is. You are dealing with small bits of plastic and any movement of the frame causes them to jump and mix. We had to re-do his 3 times to get it right. My 15 yr old did this one and mixed all kinds of stuff together - it looked really cool when he was done, this is one you don't have to follow the picture on to make it look good.

Slower than directions, but worked for me
I was a bit worried after reading some reviews. It is true that the white color took much longer to soften and melt, and it also seemed to deflate. I had to put it in for twice as long as the directions said, and then it was lumpy, so I added additional pellets to the troughs, and melted, and did that a couple of times. At the end, I used a toothpick to flatten some bumps and clean the edges in a couple of places. The plastic gets stringy, so I had to be careful. In the end, it probably baked for about three hours, with my multiple additions and corrections. But it turned out lovely, and a nice way to commemorate Saturn'Jupiter conjunction.

Was leery due to reviews on glow beads
It was fun to put together. Very beautiful detail! I was a little leery of getting this one due to the other reviews that I had read regarding the glow in the dark beads and them not melting. I did have to leave it in longer than the other bakes, but after I took the others out I turned the oven up to 425 and kept a close eye on it! It worked out perfect and melted great!

Groovy craft project
I bought these as a kitschy art project for my son and husband's birthdays. These were fun for two 50 year olds and a 19 year old. 8 year olds could do this but need a lot of supervision and patience. You need a good pair of tweezers so that you can place some of the beads in the right place and pick up any stray beads. Don't be afraid to use a lot of beads. We went light on the Saturn and had to fill in some spots and rebake for another 15 minutes. As some other reviewers said the glow in the dark white beads for Saturn do take longer to melt. All three of these turned out better than we thought they would. Wish you could buy just the wire frames as you end up with a lot of leftover beads. (Note: the suncatchers come with suction cups but not the ones shown)

Fun for all!
I am not sure if its a good price. I didn't shop around, but it sure was a lot of fun to make with my daughters. I bought a coupe of them and I was super happy about their creativity changing up the colors to make them their own. I would buy them again.

This kit is not easy. It is pretty tedious putting the little colored beads into their different sections. Thing tweezers here!!!You might need to bend the metal frame a little to get it to be perfectly flat. If not the beads slip from one section to the other. If you do it right the ends results are really cool!

Beads don't melt
My little 4 yr old was SO excited to do this, as he received this as a gift in his Christmas stocking. But the glow in the dark beads didn't melt and looked terrible, just as the other review said. I turned up the heat (after about an hour) towards the end but it only yellowed the beads that weren't melting. The clear beads melted and looked great. My house also smells like a plastic factory...Terrible. There's gotta be a better way out there, to make suncatchers without the harmful fumes. Yes, the manufacturer says the fumes are harmless, but I don't believe it, and you won't either once you smell it...DisappointedIf you already purchased this particular kit, don't use the glow in the dark beads, but rather, use the orange/yellow beads for the rings and stars, as there are plenty left over.

Glow in the dark beads melted into a chunky heap
I was so excited to find this kit and purchased it before any reviews were available. I had the same problem others experienced - the orange and red beads melted beautifully, but the glow in the dark did not. In order to attempt to fix this, I kept it in waaaay longer than recommended, until the glow beads started to discolour - but still not melting evenly - just in a chunky little heap. Otherwise, the kit seems good quality, but my 'project' was ruined and looks like garbáge.
