Great for the price
Basically, in a nut shell for thirty quid this pedal is greatAfter reading the praise others gave it on here, I bought it mainly out of curiosity as I don't have a tube screamer-esque pedal, and mainly use an EH Big Muff as my main drive/fuzz.I'm a big fan of EHX but I was looking for something with a bit more clarity than the Big Muff , but on a budget and am so glad I bought this pedal. I play through a Fender Hotrod deluxe and mainly use a Fender Jazzmaster / Gretch Double Jet and the tone is great. At the lowest setting, this gives a lovely clean boost with the feel of slightly overdriven tubes, but it can get nice and noisy with decent tonal clarity.I personally think this is great for the money - the only thing I can really say is a negative is the look of it - I think the text looks quite cheap . . . but the feel is very nice - pretty sturdy.I dig the green and yellowRoss

Good TS-style overdrive at a good price.
This is an Ibanez Tube Screamer clone that's well put together and cheap as chips. Tonally, it performs in much the same way you'd expect a TS to, and is at its best when goosing the front end of an already overdriven amp. It has the same midrange focus and tightening of the low end as the original. As for construction quality, it's pretty solid with metal casing and a chunky footswitch. The yellow knobs against the green livery look good in a funky kind of way. All-in-all, a great value option if you're after the Tube Screamer tone.

hi
hi, i play a roland cube 40 xl, and not having a footswitch to jump from clean to drive, i felt i needed an OD pedal. xmas came early this year :)usual story from now on , checking endless youtube videos , reading forums, this vs that, comparisons u name it...story ends simple : ordered, arrived, box opened, battery inserted , works flawless.how does it sound? i have a boss gt8. you cannot compare the overdrives from these two. this pedal just sounds right. its warm/analog,lush. no noise at all, using the battery it came with, not planning buying adaptor fot it, i like mobility/simplicity. i have a cheap strat type and a les paul, this pedal sounds red hot chilli peppers with the strat.paintjob is awesome, pedal just looks pro. i will use it on gigs no prob with battery. sounds killer with my roland cube 40 xl - and it's a solid state digital amp. i had a boss sd1 a year ago(had 2 give back to me mate), it was allrite but something wasnt all right with the clipping it had. it sounded heavily compressed. not this one. this rocks. thank you joyo.and yes, delivery was spot on, thing arrived 2 days earlier. good dealer! 100% recommended!!

Fantastic sound, great price.
My first "real" pedal as such, and Im very happy. I play a realtively high gain blues sort of tone 90% of the time and this pedal nails that kind of vibe easily, I use it on the drive channel of my amp on rwaltively low settings for drive and volume, it adds to the tone rather than colouring with its own sound, which I think is great for this price, Ive easily and very happily played Bonamassa, Gary Moore and even Van Halen using this pedal, its very versatile considering, build quality is great very sturdy metal casing and switch and the pots feel nice and solid , even though its "true bypass" there is a slight differerence to the sound when its plugged in and turned off to when its not in the signal chain but in no way drastically or negatively, it even cleans up nicely enabling alightly crunchy marshall esque clean sounds even using high output pickups and a drive sound to beiin with. For the price per enjoyment factor I cant reccomend this enough!

Great sound, outstanding value
I wholeheartedly support these other reviews. Currently enjoying a renewal of interest in the electric guitar after 30+ years of playing and I was looking for an overdrive pedal. I checked out videos of expensive 'boutique' pedals and found demos of this, noting the ridiculously cheap price. Check out the YT videos of the revered Ibanez Tubescreamer vs this - enlightening!I love the sound of this, it's very useable. As well full-on overdrive, I have found myself using it (with Fender Strat) at relatively low drive settings to add a subtle bit of dirt. Nice. The metal casing is solid and the knobs and switch seem good enough quality. Ok, a look inside shows the jack sockets are mounted directly onto the circuit board so might suggest less durability but it seems almost churlish to point this out and this price. A very low risk purchase, this now has a place on my pedalboard - recommended ++.
