StarTech 4-Port USB-C Hub 5Gbps with Switches, NA (5G4AIBS-USB-HUB-NA)

Best usb powered hub I've used. I use it for my flight simulator peripherals. Way better than the cheap stuff. Individual power lights only turn on if the peripherals usb is plugged in. Power buttons are high quality. The unit is not plastic, so it feels nice. The wall outlet cord/plug is flexible. So far so good.

Works great. No voltage backfeed from this externally powered usb hub to your PC. Switches are solid. The included USB cables were a tad short. I purchased a 10 foot USB 3.0 cable which is functioning ok without issues with my mouse and this hub.

I've only had this one day but so far I'm pretty impressed with it. I run two USB hard drives on it. My last hub, which was only 24 watts, couldn't handle them both; if I tried to copy large files from one to the other I'd always get failures. This one hasn't failed at all, so the extra power seems to do the trick; this product is 36 watts. The material is great. The USB cables have a pliable rubber outer sheath, which is much better than the hard plastic a lot of them have. The hub itself has two, fairly beefy, rubber pads on the bottom to keeps it from slipping around; but it's pretty lightweight so it does still move if you accidentally hit or move the cables. The power switches threw me at first. Intuitively, I thought the up position was probably on, but actually you flip them down to power on. The power indicator lights don't come on either unless there's a device in the port. The lights on my old one stayed on all the time if the power button was pressed so this was a little confusing at first. After thinking about it, I don't think the lights are actually power indicators, but just show when a device is active. You have to look at the switch position to know if the power is on or off. Windows didn't say "New hardware detected" or anything when I plugged it in, so I thought there was something wrong; but apparently that's normal. It showed up in Device Manager. Seems like a nice USB port. Hopefully I get a few years out of it.

I wanted a powered USB hub with on/off switches for each port, and this fit the bill nicely. I especially like that the power adapter only takes up one outlet on my power strip. That was a deciding factor.

I have multiple devices to include my flight Sim setup that I only want powered on when Im using them. I do wish the usb connections were on the side of the product for a cleaner look, but the device is much less bulky than other options many of which have obnoxious led lighting as well.

Good and definite usb life saver.

This unit is impressive; connected four single cable mechanical hard drives and all work well and good transfering/copying files from one to another.

i hook up my backup and extra hard drives to this and am able to simply flip a switch on or off to access them, nice accessory for my computer desk

Solid build quality. I wanted a heavier hub with quality switches, and that's what I got. Worth the premium price.
