KitchenAid Stainless Steel Egg Slicer - White

I was looking for a replacement egg slicer. This one is great. I had one that was supposed to be stainless steel but it started to peel... didn't want another one like that so I opted for plastic and a brand I knew. Glad I did!

I let me toddler use this to get her involved in meal prep by cutting up eggs or strawberries without needing to give her a knife. The pressing down motion is great for little hands.Definitely paying for the name here though as doesn’t seem any different than any other slicer I’ve used for half the price!

I can remember seeing one of these in my Grandparents kitchen as well as my own parents kitchen back in the day, a classic traditional almost "80s" kitchen gadget invention which is capable of far more than just being an Egg Slicer.Which of course it is, and the very strong construction will give you every confidence that it will do the job each and every time. It is a simple process where you lift the top which has a series of metal wires which will do the slicing and the base has the groove for the egg to be placed in and you simply close the lid down, it has enough weight that it will require very little pushing to accomplish the task of creating perfect egg slices for that salad, sandwich or even pizza topping if you so wish.Of course, it can also be used to slice fruit such as Strawberries and correctly prepared cucumber as just quick examples of how this can be used. Easy to clean just be mindful of the wires of course. But it is an old school kitchen gadget that can still do a very simply job extremely well.

While certainly not a kitchen essential, this egg slicer is a great side tool that does its job incredibly well and makes your life just a touch easier when making lunches and the like.Firstly upon opening this, I was surprised by how weighty it felt, being made of plastic I was sure it'd be quite flimsy and light. Happy to report that's not the case here.The inner metal "strings" function as the slicer and they also feel great, solid and don't feel like they'll be coming apart anytime soon.In practice, the slicer makes light work of eggs but you can also throw in some small fruits as well. Perfect for adding to cereal in the mornings.I'm also happy with how easy to clean it is. With the small grates you expect debris to get stuck between but a good few blasts from the tap and some soap and it comes out clean everytime we've used it so far.Overall very happy so far, time will tell if its as durable as it feels. 5*!

This type of egg (and more) slicer is a rather old school! I do remember many many many years ago being in the market and my mother used to have one and she was using it to make an excellent presentation to her eggs for her starter plates, in semi-formal family dinners lolSo, I got it and I can happily recommend it!It is not flimsy or cheap made. Has a very good steel-wire cutter and can slice easily eggs, mushrooms, or anything else of that size and softness.I like to use it to slice my eggs for sandwiches to stop making a mash with mayo and for mushrooms since the already sliced ones are actually more... expensive!

It feels sturdy enough but it is a very large device. Sadly when you slice through the eggs the wires, like smaller cheaper ones, don't go all the way through so you have to turn it upside down and force the eggs out from underneath.

Der Eierschnieder macht was er soll und das Kunststoffgehäuse macht einen stabilen Eindruck. Der Test mit Champions steht allerdings noch aus, ich bin aber davon überzeugt, dass dies auch funktioniert.

Alles, was es zu sagen gibt, steht in der Überschrift.Der Eierschneider ist beeindruckend stabil und schwer. Der dürfte nicht so schnell kaputtgehen.Allerdings gehen bei einem Eierschneider ja selten die Rahmen kaputt, eher sind es die Drähte.Und hier gibt es einen kleinen Trick, der die Lebensdauer verlängert: Den Eierschneider niemals auseinandergeklappt in die Spülmaschine legen. Immer nur zusammengeklappt, auch wenn dann die Reinigung scheinbar erschwert wird.Ich hoffe, meine Rezension war nützlich für Dich.Liebe GrüßePeter

So far so good,does what it should.Not the smallest and silly design when liftingtwo halfs the same, would be better if top slightly smaller or a lip to lift.On the whole you can nearly always find something to improve but works.

Ich gebe vorab zu, dass ich KitchenAid liebe. Allerdings wusste ich nicht, dass es davon einen Eierschneider gibt.Nachdem in kürzester Zeit 2 meiner Schneider ihre Seiten aufgegeben haben, war ich auf der Suche nach Nr 3 - in möglichst haltbar. Ein stiller Wunsch war auch, dass man Pellkartoffeln in Scheiben schneiden kann. Per Zufall wurde mir bei der Websuche KitchenAid angezeigt.Gesucht bei Amazon, gefunden und sofort bestellt. Dieser Eierschneider ist größer, als die handelsüblichen und schwerer. Sehr positiv! Er ist insgesamt stabiler. Er schneidet hervorragend. Es bleibt auch nicht hängen oder wird zerrissen. Pellkartoffeln gingen auch. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und kann ihn nur empfehlen.
