Pretty good for a little ambient light. Rather dim for what I wanted to use them for (pumpkin lighting for halloween, had to use 3 or more in 1 pumpkin for any effect). I was pleased to see all the pre-installed batteries work out of the box and days later they still work but all the spare batteries were dead (yea it's weird, there are batteries in the candles AND spares outside the candles) unless I'm getting something wrong and those aren't supposed to be spares at all. Buying new spares at the store can be expensive to the point that buying new candles would be cheaper (but kindof dumb) so consider buying batteries online in bulk if you don't have cheap options around. The remote is a bit janky but it does the job most of the time. Don't expect to control them flawlessly across a long hall though.

Last year I bought a set of these to put in my 'fake fireplace'. I decided to add another set to increase the brightness between the logs.The last ones worked for 6 hours a day from late November to early January on one set of batteries, hopefully these will do the same. The effect is great, and I was pleased that they can be operated from the same controller as the last ones. Because of the set up I have I can select small groups of candles to have on flicker or not, which increases the flame effect. I have set them in the fire place recess lined with crumpled foil, tucked between real logs and sticks and surrounded by pieces of red and orange cellophane. With spark guard in from of the fire place it is quite convincing, maintenance free and no fire risk

Lovely and better illumination than I might have expected...lighting up my crystals at night superbly!Don't know if I missed the bit in the instructions where it should have said to exert pressure on the plastic casing under the tea light when removing...then the casing AND the battery flip out together. Also, with the spare batteries, bear in mind (I didn't!) that they are encased in a yellow plastic rim, which has to be removed (fiddly) before inserting, otherwise they get stuck, don't work and give you a lot of grief!!

Great little candles, look very nice at night and just the right amount of light for where I have them. Easy to control and surprisingly sensitive.They fit into the holders I have perfectly. My only gripe is the manual override, it also resets the timer.So let's say you normally have them set to come on at 4pm until 10pm and decided to keep them on at the weekend. If at 10pm when they turn off, you click to turn them back on, the next days timer (on) will be 18 hours after they last went off. Rather than coming on at the original 4pm time you set during the week.Great item and I got more than I was expecting in the box, I received the 9 candles with batteries inside as well as new batteries so in all I got 27 items.

I've given this with three not because I dislike it, but because of the size; I thought it was bigger but apart from that it works well and I love it. I ordered these for a project that I'm doing but now I have to work to the scale of the candlea, I would recommend these for anyone who is looking for this size candlea ( which I should have checked) and the good thing about it which I love the most is that they supply you with spare batteries for each candles and that it is remote controlled,I would buy this product again.

These are great fun and, living in a thatched cottage, they remove all fear of fire danger. I use them in a candelabra that is far too close to a beam to feel comfortable burning real candles. The remote control is great too as it saves having to faff about turning them on. They're quite believable if you don't look too closely and, even if you are aware, it doesn't really detract from the nice flickering light produced. I only use the slow flicker: the fast flicker would have me dancing on the ceiling. The amount I paid made them all the more appealing.

These lights are so good, I ordered two more packs immediately I tried them out. So simple to operate, and one click on a remote is so much easier than having to faff about turning individual battery operated lights on and off. It's a really lightweight, small, cute remote too. I'm replacing all other types of battery operated lights I have with these. Terrific!
