April 2018 Update: Very frustrating tool. Tighten enough to hold a frame and it is very prone to flying off your work. Hard plastic corners mar fine finished frames. Uneven pressure is applied to top edge and bottom edge of frame. Constantly trying to adjust to wold a clean joint. Plastic cracked on one (I bought 3). I hear wood workers use these, but not this brand/style. Have seen better versions since purchasing these. Would not recommend for other than simple, non professional looking frames and must protect from marring the frame.Original Review:A bit lighter weight than gives full confidence, but tested and the straps hold well when tightened. The crimp grips have dimples to bind to the strap better than similar comparable clamps that did not hold well when tightened. Would recommend with caveat that it is a lightweight plastic components. Do not drop on the floor or the plastic may break.

Purchased March 3, 2018. Used them once or twice that month. Have been in a drawer in shop up to today Feb 12,2019. Took out to use and both broke where strap clamps before tightening. PURE PLASTIC JUNK!!! Better buy sets where clamping mechanism is metal.

I was able to make beautiful wood work with the help of this tool, it really grips around the edges of the wood so it's easier for the glue to hold and leave it tight. By the size it works perfect for crafts, homemade stuff and small to medium wood work. Definitely recommend it and way better solution that using my own hands to try and hold it in place!

This is tool snapped on my second time using it. I should have considered the negative reviews prior to purchase because it really is cheap plastic. Piece went flying, I'm just glad I was wearing eye wear because it could have taken my eye out. The other side is breaking too. Nd I'm only using it to make a small frame. Totally disappointed.

As is goes you do get what you pay for after the second time using this the strap released because it is made out of very cheap plastic the holding for the strap basically snapped right off

Broke the first time using it, tightened it down and the plastic on one of the angle pieces shattered, wasn't even tight enough to butt the edges up...junk

I didn't have much luck using this clamp. It's cheap and not well designed. I would not buy again.

Worked as expected. Used to build a picture frame. Came in quite handy.
