Perfect inch squares, on a multitude of papers!
A lot of reviews on here saying it doesn't cut, it makes imperfect circles, and so on.I've owned one of these for over a year, using it daily to cut inch squares on a multitude of papers. I invested in the inch circle as needs expanded. Let me be clear - I work in print. I use a LOT of papers ranging from coated stocks to rough recycled test paper. If ever there was an end-user to give one of these punches a proper thorough durability test, I more than qualify. The inch square cuts as good as it did on day one. The inch circle is cutting perfectly fine a week in used for hours a day.Firstly: The construction is SOLID. This is a better quality punch than any office ring binder hole punch you'd ever use. Solid plastics, solid metals. good strong spring. No crappy hinges or rivets. If you're the sort of individual that looks after your kit and doesn't just sling it in a box of things that will damage the die-cut underneath - you'll be owning an item that will serve you - as it has for me - a long time. The punch reaches a fair way into a page, as shown in my pictures. I've punched out papers ranging from as thin as tracing and crepe paper to thick watercolour card, and even thick clay-coated kraft packing card. The opening of the punch is about 1.2mm. It cuts at full depth. Obviously, it's not for cutting holes in tissue paper. Stacking papers for multiple cutting in-one can lead to inaccurate cuts, do them one at a time for best results.Cuts are clean enough - you can see standard paper cut in pictures. It's a hole punch, there is going to be slight burring of the edges. The bottom has no catchment tray - this is (I assume) so you can see where you are cutting if you use the punch in-hand.It is a fantastic item. Ignore the "can't open the box 1 star lolz" type reviews. Solidly recommended.

Good solid quality
Love this brand of punches, they are all of good quality and work every time. Love the design which enables you to lock closed which is brilliant for storing. Highly recommended this product

Robust and cuts well.
Used to make half moon holes in calendars. Works perfectly. Feels robust.Obviously not ideal for my purpose as I only wanted half of the hole :) .... but the best I could find at a reasonable price that could deliver in time. If this company made a half moon or thumb cut punch, I'd buy it in a flash.

Great little circle punch
A great circle punch for making my own stickers. I'm so glad I purchased this one as opposed to others, as it's very sturdy feeling and doesn't feel like a kids craft 'toy' like many others. It's quite heavy duty and capable of cutting through up to 350gsm card with ease. For paper and card the cuts are very clean and crisp, no tearing or wearing. After reading so many reviews complaining about this (and other) circle punch, especially for making stickers... some tips: It can cut one sheet of label paper with a plasticised back so long as you do it slowly with even pressure. However, on gloss sticker paper with a paper backing (like Koala inkjet brand) it has no problem at all cutting clean edges. The only issue is as it punches the circle out it does bend ("cup") the page slightly - so if you've printed a solid colour on the sticker paper it will fleck off on the edges or loose colour. That said, if you are using it upside-down (so that you can actually see what you are cutting) but face the gloss side of the sticker paper away from you then when it is cut it bend the opposite way and the edges and the colour are perfectly fine with no damage or colour loss. (You would obviously need to mark the centre of your sticker on the back before cutting that way.)Obviously, for getting professional quality stickers it's a bit fiddly - but doable. For normal everyday paper crafts it's super easy to use.

Miles ahead of the competition!
This is an excellent product, it’s reliable and effective, I use it often and it is still cutting well. Really delighted with it. PS as with any other these types of punches you need to cut more than one sheep of 80 gsm paper at a time, otherwise it will get jammed in the mechanism.

Excellent craft tool
Meant to get one if these for ages, now have a collection. I love the way that this company makes them lock closed. It helps with storage. Altogether a quality item.

Fantastic!!!
Love this!! I bought this to cut out lots of circles in order to replicate "fish scales" on my son's sea themed birthday invitations. This decorative paper puncher is still going strong after cutting 4 A4 sized paper sheets worth of circles. I even tested out cutting through 2 sheets at a time and it seemed to work fine but the edges were a tiny bit less clean cut but almost unnoticeable. This paper puncher also has a lock underneath and I love that it is flat - this has proved to be great for storage. Most of my previously bought paper punches are bulky and inconveniently shaped so storing them neatly has always been a real problem. I shall definitely be purchasing more paper punches from EK Tools in future!!!

Stopped working after 3 sessions
It cut circles, not perfect with a slightly raggy edge, but only for a few cuts. I was cutting filter papers for a coffee machine and a single sheet just got mangled, and doubled-up sheets were hard to get out once cut. After my 3rd session of cutting discs (definitely less than 100 cuts in total) the cutting dies just don't meet properly so the thing is useless. Exactly 2 weeks outside the return window. I'm not sure there are better alternatives out there, but this wasn't worth the investment.
