Backhoe Loader

Purchased this for our great-grandson who loved it. He has a lot of trucks, machines but really seemed to like this one a lot. It appears sturdy.

My 2.5 year old enjoys this toy. 4 stars because it's a bit challenging to get the scoop up and down properly, especially with a load of sand, but he manages it without me. It gets caught and doesn't work smoothly sometimes. But I like that it can keep a scoop up in high position while it's being pushed. It's a cool toy with a nice tracto sound as a bonus, which surprisingly still works after being out in snow and rain!

Beautiful, realistic looking toy. Looks nice in the box.My 3 year old grandson got one for his birthday and was more than a bit frustrated with it.Being fascinated with construction machines and having other tractor/truck/loader toye, he wanted to wonk the bucket/backhoe into position, put things (blocks, small toys) in it, roll it across the room and dump them. This toy requires moving levers and catches to move and lock the bucket and loader into position. It's not obvious and it isn't easy. The load lift lever hasn't broken yet, but it looks a bit flimsy. So there's a bucket lever behind the bucket between the lift forks and a fork/lift lever that lifts the bucket mechanism.The backhoe articulates realistically, but the detents appear to lock it into positions that make it frustrating for a three year old.We haven't taken it to the sandpile yet, probably won't until the sound stops working. There's speaker holes in the bottom and the single sound is made when one pushes on the breather/air intake.The all plastic construction doee appear that it will withstand the trials of sand and a 3 year old, with the exception of the bucket lift assist and the possibility of a child just twisting the attachments will break it.Take care, be safe. This toy can't be beat for the way it looks, except for the Bruder toys, which are in a completely different price caategory.

This should be a dollar tree item. It didn’t last a week before the bucket on the boom broke. Now the front loader is broken.

We have had this for less than a month, very cool design but not sturdy. My kids are not overly rough or anything, just a normal 3 year old trying to figure out how it works. Like another person wrote, our hinge for the loader also broke and cannot be repaired. Super glue won’t hold so it just is what it is. I usually love Battat but these Driven toys have proven to be very low quality and cheap.

My son received this for his birthday about 2 weeks ago and one side of the hinge that holds the front bucket arm broke already so the front bucket is detached and can’t be repaired. He was devastated. The bucket is held on by a thin plastic hinge piece, it’s not a smart design at all. It’s too bad because he really liked it. Keep in mind that this won’t last long up. For a toy designed for a small child I would expect It to be more durable than it is. I’d look at something else before buying this.

My kid requested a backhoe loader for Christmas, and this one definitely delivered! It's big, detailed, feels sturdy, and plastic is good quality. Haven't got any breaks or loose pieces, and everything still works fine after over six months of heavy use by a 5y old!Definitely recommended if you are into construction vehicles!
