This is now the fourth WiFi 'dongle' style adaptor that I've had after my internal one had failed twice. Two others of a similar style but different make failed after a few months each and the third still works but is so poor on range that it's not worth bothering with. This item isn't fantastic on range but what it lacks on distance it more than makes up for on reliability of connection - the others suffered regular dropouts. Even with a lower signal strength this device is reliable and fast and keeps the connection well. Using Windows 10 it was just a plug and play job, no driver installation needed from the disc supplied - was immediately recognised and worked instantly after putting in the router code - I didn't need to use the WPS button but it's a nice touch. Time will tell if it will last the course but so far am pretty impressed and would recommend without hesitation if you're looking for an inexpensive fix for a dodgy laptop WiFi adaptor.

Bought this as I was having a great deal of trouble connecting my PC to the internet using an ethernet cable. This dongle allowed me to connect my PC via Wifi, which all my other devices did faultlessly. It worked brilliantly and was faster than my original ethernet connection when it was working. I was now pretty certain that my ethernet card or the computer's RJ45 connection was faulty so I bought a USB ethernet card which confirmed the diagnosis. So now I don't need the WiFi dongle but if I had no alternative I would be really happy to carry on using it as it worked perfectly and never dropped a connection.

I didn't expect this to work as well as it does. My laptop is currently on the boarder of being a little too far from the router but this solved my issue.

I bought this cause it said it was compatible with linux but I couldn't have it working despite compiling the software it come with.

Excellent dongle software could have been done better, too many set up files reboot desktop and away you go.

Does what it says on the tin.
